  1. I recently tried someone there and now I get why he’s not really talked about. The pressure was decent, but the massage felt rushed the whole time. I asked him to slow down, and he said that’s just his style. One time was enough for me,I’ll stick with Nathan or Oliver. What I did learn, though, is that therapists there can actually refuse certain clients. The spa lets them say no to people who are difficult, tip poorly, or behave badly. If someone books online, the front desk may ask them to cancel or switch therapists.Just a reminder, while we choose our therapist, they can choose their clients too.
  2. I can confirm as well that no matter how big you are, Nathan and Oliver can handle it comfortably,no need to worry about their massage.
  3. Alex is another therapist I’ve been thinking about trying at least once. I’m kind of surprised he’s been working there for a while but doesn’t get mentioned much. And for this week, I’m thinking maybe Andy, Billy, or one of those three.
  4. Yeah, exactly. He mentioned the Silverlake spa and tried to exchange numbers with me. From what I understood, he was inviting me to see him there on days he’s not working here. He said he’s very busy and hard to book, so I should text him directly and he’d set up the appointment. But I wasn’t comfortable sharing my number, so I told him I could just book online. It didn’t seem like he really understood though,he just kept saying, “Ok, good,” and even said he’d text me later to set it up 🤣
  5. That might be true. He’s actually a very skilled therapist, but he does have some communication issues. Sometimes he says things very directly, which can catch people off guard. I try to understand what he means, and sometimes I just stay quiet like you did.😊
  6. I get the pricing point,it is on the lower side but comparing it directly to RM isn’t really fair. Most RM therapists work independently, have private rooms, and can offer more flexibility, which is why their rates are higher. TWS is a spa, so their pricing has to stay in line with other spas (and it’s still cheaper than many). Plus, their clientele is broader, last time I was there, I saw an older couple and a few women waiting too. That said, I do agree they could raise prices a bit so therapists can earn more and things feel more balanced.
  7. Tipping $20–$30 for a 2hr. massage is already low. Some therapists here have even received just $15 for 2hr.One client comes in monthly and rotates between therapists. Not sure if the spa can refuse clients like this, but I feel bad for them.
  8. I’d like to share a quick thought. Recently, I tried sessions with two new therapists, and it gave me some perspective. It turns out that the spa owners and staff do read the posts in this forum. When it comes to massage quality or communication with clients, they genuinely appreciate feedback and are willing to improve. However, there have been some negative comments that aren’t entirely accurate, and unfortunately, they don’t have a way to publicly respond or clarify those points. Some of the therapists have also expressed that they would prefer discussions here to focus on the massage itself, rather than other topics. They’ve mentioned feeling uncomfortable and even a bit unsafe, knowing that this is a public forum that anyone, including outside parties or authorities, can access. For anything beyond general massage experiences, it might be more appropriate to discuss privately via DM. There have also been situations where clients come in expecting specific things because they read about it here, and then try to direct the therapist to do exactly that. It’s important to remember that every therapist has their own boundaries and professional choices, and it’s completely their right to decide what they are or aren’t comfortable offering. Let’s be respectful of that and avoid putting pressure on them.
  9. I’d really like you to try booking a session with him first. Before I went, I read a lot of reviews, and most people praised how highly professional his massage is. During the session, he doesn’t ask or offer anything extra,if you want more, you have to give him some kind of signal. Otherwise, he’ll just continue the massage all the way through, which is exactly what happened my first time with him. But the second time I went back, everything was perfect. I’ll definitely be seeing him again. Don’t just believe what others say,I’d rather you try it yourself before making a judgment.
  10. Right now I’m mostly interested in hearing about experiences with Kenneth, Parker, or James. A couple of people DM’d me and shared that Matthew might not be the best fit for what I’m looking for. They mentioned his sessions tend to focus less on massage and more on other things, and that the session can end pretty quickly afterward with a higher expected tip. Just sharing what I heard.I’d still love to hear any experiences with the others.
  11. I’m thinking about booking a massage here. Has anyone had experience with Kenneth, Parker, Matthew, or James? What are their strengths? If they offer anything special, feel free to DM me. Would love to hear your thoughts.
  12. Has anyone here had experience with Billy, Nathan, or Oliver? Could you share their strengths? I see they all work Saturdays and I want to book one of them next Saturday. I’ve heard they’ve been there since the spa first opened and are the strongest therapists for therapeutic work , even the other staff say they’re the best in the place. I’ve tried almost everyone else already but still haven’t found what I’m looking for (some weren’t great but expected high tips). Thanks in advance!
  13. Just my opinion on tipping , I don’t really think percentage tipping makes as much sense at a spa as it does at restaurants. Massage therapists are licensed professionals who go through serious training (anatomy, body mechanics, techniques, etc.). That’s why I usually tip 50%+ for a great session. Some of my friends tip even more, especially when requesting extra services.
