  1. BUYER BEWARE!!! Saw this person's ad today while in Chicago. Contacted him via text. He required pre-payment, which I did against my better judgement. Showed up at his home at the agreed to time. Let him know that I was in the lobby. No response. After 20min, I left. No contact from all all day. Called the hotel; no one is registered there under that name. Attempted to get $$$ back to no avail, of course. Again, BUYER, BEWARE. Goes by 'Jorge Diaz'. 2. Scott, thanks for relating this story. I think that this is the appropriate response. Glad that it worked out for you.
  3. Guy, I agree with your assessment. No such thing was offered with the 4AM message. As stated, he was a traveller so I am pretty sure that he's out of my area now. So, I wasted an hour of time and probably a gallon of gasoline.
  4. The appointment was originally at 10pm. He contacted me at 8pm to ask to push it back to 10:30. I showed up 10:32 and sent a text message. I waited 15min and, hearing nothing, drove home. He messaged me 4am saying that he'd fallen asleep. I messaged back that I'd assumed that that is what happened. No other communication after that.

  8. So, would be interested in comments from all of you. This has happened twice now and would appreciate your thoughts. First off, my givens: 1. Massage is a physically demanding job and makes masseurs tired. 2. Travelling masseurs may also have jet lag to deal with travelling across time zones. 3. Travelling masseurs to my city (Boston) are often very busy due to the inadequate number of masseurs for a city of this size. With that as background, I made an appointment with a masseur for later in the evening. Drove to the location. Messaged him that I had parked. No response. Waited 15min and then drove home, assuming that he had fallen asleep. Indeed, that is what happened. What should happen next? Immediate re-schedule with discount? Immediate re-schedule with free massage? Nothing at all--so sad/too bad? Other options?
  9. I went here and had a nice time. http://greenjademensspa.top/

  11. Even tho I no longer live in LA, I saw on FB that Century was re-opening.

  15. I would provide it.....as a matter of respect and concern for the health and safety of the provider.
  16. As always, appreciate the advice of this group in advance. As more and more are getting vaccinated, I'm more comfortable dipping my toe into the massage world. However, as a way of ensuring that a masseur is vaccinated, I have asked for a pic of the vaccination card with the only the first name showing. I have also asked for another ID (driver license, passport, something.....) showing the same first name. In the two instances that I've asked for matching documents, masseurs have not provided both. Am I asking too much? I'm trying to protect myself obviously. Opinions please.

  18. Dear All Who Are Always A Fount of Knowledge, I have had the pleasure of seeing this masseur for over a decade. Excellent technique and a nice guy. Saw him in both LA and DC. Have now lost track of him. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. https://rentmasseur.com/MsclBori
  19. Per the CDC website: "Q: Can people who recover from COVID-19 be infected again? A: The immune response to COVID-19 is not yet understood. Patients with MERS-CoV infection are unlikely to be re-infected shortly after they recover, but it is not yet known whether similar immune protection will be observed for patients with COVID-19." 20. I recently saw MusicalMasseur while in Nashville. Had a very enjoyable time. Well trained. Uses a table. Did not find him manic....rather found him quiet and comforting. As always, your mileage may vary....
  21. I saw him yesterday and was very very impressed....one of the best massages I've ever had. Very clean apartment. Technically excellent. Lasted a full hour. Shower and water available.
  22. Thanks!!! Greatly appreciated!!

  24. I went to see Bobby over the weekend. Had a very relaxing time. Will definitely see again. Nice guy....ensured that I was relaxed during the session. Massage done with nicely fragrant oil which was warmed by his strong hands. Nice foot and leg massage was provided. He ensured that I was well hydrated by offering water prior to getting started.
