This is may be kind of naïve of me … but if you've hired this guy a couple of times before and there was enough of a connection for him to ask and for you to lend the $500 could "lol" mean "lol, of course its prepaid!" instead of "lol, I took you sucker"?

A couple of the written reviews on RM are interesting: "A bit anxious but very nice guy to talk too. Throughout the encounter however he appeared more preoccupied with messages he was receiving on his phone rather than attending to me and what we agree on. Agreed. Sometimes it takes me a day to get back to a provider, it wouldn't be unreasonable to give them the same amount of time to respond to me.
