  1. Went to The One Men Spa for the first time today. Too pricy at $95 for an hour but I figured what the heck. The guy behind the desk was super cute. Sadly he was not the one giving me the massage but the guy who was was cute too, younger thin asian but I didn't get his name. They have a back room with a locker and a few showers. It's nice enough. They have a sauna or steam room but looked like it was just being used for storage. I would think for $95 they would have that working for clients. Anyway, the massage was good but strictly legit.
  2. New Italian guy Fabiano at Shangrila. He said he used to work at The One for the past few years. Kind of scruffy. Wearing baggy tee and shorts so hard to tell body. Great strong legit massage.
  3. Had Mike at 27. Very cute latino but used his knuckles and elbow a lot. Was a bit painful at times. He said let him know of too hard or too soft at least so I did when needed. Again, very cute but I wouldn’t repeat.
  4. While we're on the subject of tipping. I had my first masseur that I found on massuer finder today. I've always gone to guys at the spas. Fee was $150 and I gave him $180. Is it necessary to tip beyond the fee?
  5. had Alex at Energy Men Spa. It was just ok. Started with extras literally 10 minutes into the massage. I'm sure some guys will love that but I actually want a good strong massage. He also shorted me 10 minutes which I realized after I left. I might go back but would definitely want to try someone else.
  6. Went to K-Town Saturday afternoon. Last time I went it stunk and only the far left tub was working. It was pretty dead. Only about 3-5 guys. They finally got rid of the sewer smell but this time only the middle tub was working. It was about 4 in the afternoon so I imagine at 9/10 it would be just as dead.
  7. Yes, I agree too. He is beautiful and gave a strong massage.
  8. I haven't been to Energy yet but I've had William at other places. He contacted me letting me know he was opening a new spa. He use to work at East Men Spa and a spa that use to be on 59th street on the east side. I forget the name. Anyway, he always gave a fantastic massage. He wasn't interactive but he is a very nice guy.
  9. I had Victor for the first time at Utopia a few weeks ago and I liked him. I wouldn't say it was a relaxing massage but strong and he knew what he was doing. Very nice guy and we chatted a lot.
  10. Maybe I'll try K-Town again. I went last week only because I still have a few passes I bought awhile ago and it was dead. Only 2 guys there. The cold tub and middle hot tub were empty so they just had the one next to the steam room working. It also smelled like a sewer. I stayed about an hour and left.
  11. energy men spa is where M-star spa was. I never had a good experience at m-spa and the body scrub room smelled like a sewer. Hopefully not run by same people.
  12. apparently K-Town Sauna is closed for good.
  13. Shangrila takes only cash for now. Super Men Spa takes credit but always give you a hard time if you do. Pretty sure most other spas like Utopia, Manta, Babylon take credit but it might be a good idea to call in advance to be safe.
  14. Had a phenomenal Thai Massage from Patrick at Shangrila. One of the best quality massages I have ever had.
  15. I have only called and asked for a specific masseur. I've never gone and selected one based on who was available. I'm sure you could though.
  16. I 100% will be going back. Will just ask for a different masseur.
  17. Yea, the fact that Jack only made me pay for the 45 minutes was great. Other spas like Super Men and Manta short you all the time but still except you to pay. I had no idea he shorted me until Jack said so. Had Jack made me pay full price I would have complained. The massage itself was fine, just repetitive but I chalk it up to him being new and needing more practice. I don't ever feel the need to complain about the masseurs technique, I just make a point not to get them again. I've certainly had much much worse elsewhere.
  18. Had a disappointing experience at Shangrila after such a great one my first time with Rodrigo. I had Pedro. Muscular, Beautiful latino. Not sure if he's trained in massage. He didn't even massage my shoulders and neck, he started at my shoulder blades and then just rubbed there to my lower back most of of the time. Pressure was fine at least. It eventually ended and I got dressed. I walked out to pay and Jack was at the desk and asked if everything was ok because I wanted 60 minutes. I look at my phone and it was only 45 minutes so the guy shorted me 15 minutes! Jack seemed really concerned the guy shorted me and I asked if I could pay for 45 and he said yes so that was really nice of him. I said it was fine as long as I'm not paying for the full hour. Anyway, thank goodness for Jack. He's such a nice guy but really disappointing experience tonight. It's always the hot ones! :-)
  19. I have only had Rodrigo there. Any other recommendations?
  20. I agree. As soon as they suggest a price it's a complete turn off and I always say "no thanks, just a massage please" I do recall a few times they did it anyway because they probably didn't want a crappy tip.
  21. Yea when I went he just gave me a membership card and charged me $80.
  22. Went to Shangrila tonight. The place is immaculate and beautifully decorated. The rooms are really nice. Large rooms, hot towel warmer is in the room, large massage table. Jack is the owner, same guy from Utopia. The walls on the side go all the way up but the wall with the door to the room does not. Had Rodrigo. Tall and beautiful. Super sweet guy. Good massage. They are giving free body scrubs. Body scrub room had a nice big table and a shower head. It is more expensive and Jack said due to location and higher rent. I would probably opt just to go to Utopia since its cheaper unless I'm in the area but overall really great place.
  23. I think Shangrila is the same owner as Utopia. On a google search the same person posted photos for both spas.
  24. Looks nice based on the photos so might check it out but definitely a little pricier than most. $90 for 60 minutes. Hopefully it's not another Super Men Spa. Overpriced and awful massages.
  25. They seem to be more lenient with the towels. I went yesterday and every guy had a hand towel and they didn't say anything this time. Unfortunately now they have a worker sitting in the wet area watching. So awkward. Only about 6-8 guys there so seems they are losing a lot of customers now.
