That's not an exaggeration. I have an asterix in my profile with an explanation that I'm not a massage therapist, that I do I offer those services nor do I advertise as a MT but yet....... π "what's your massage rate?" π΅βπ« Most often just for clarification, I ask people I've never met before exactly what they are seeking and I get, "an erotic massage" π¬π€¦π»ββοΈ

@KensingtonHomo often I even go as far as typing in the headline that I'm "UNAVAILABLE until Feb 1" and toggle the "unavailable" button and people still reach out asking if I'm available at the moment π³ππ¬π« π ( it all comes with the territory )

Technically, if a provider hides his ad or removes it from the listings, the only people that can see it are those that have bookmarked it but I agree with you. I use the unavailable feature a lot.
-
Sorry, but to add to the confusion almost always when I get home from a long trip where I've seen a lot of people and I've been very busy, I both hide my ad and I mark it "unavailable" The features have their purpose, It's just a bummer that sometimes it can be confusing for folks..
-
It can be a bit confusing, not only can we hide our ad, but we can also mark our ads "unavailable" when we are completely booked up but in the past, it has confused people that I have an appointment with in the upcoming future and they reach out and ask if everything is OK.... so yes, it can be very confusing so it's best just to ask. Once again, sometimes I hide my ad and sometimes I mark my ad unavailable simply because I'm completely booked and I'd rather not keep telling people the same thing over and over; it just saves time.
-
Maybe he's just hidden his ad... ( we can do that very easily ) I do it all the time when my schedule is filled. You may be over thinking it. Consider asking him why his ad is no longer listed or visible, he may have a perfectly reasonable explanation. It's much easier to hide the ad than to keep telling people you no longer have availability.

There's also a group of us that don't necessarily see what you might see... I understand what you're saying and yes, in the beginning most people might have to grit their teeth sometimes, spend time with people who aren't completely pleasant.... but after seeing the same people for years who have convinced you that they do care about you outside of the "physical" you can't help but see what others might not see at first glance. I don't see an old man, I don't see an overweight weight guy, I don't see someone that society might deem not so attractive, I instead will see a kind, sweet, talented, funny, extremely intelligent, fun loving person instead.. When you reach that point and level, intimacy and affection become almost natural to give and receive independent of physical attributes. I'd like to shed light on the opposite of what comes up so often and what is not always spoken about. There are many of us that don't have to take each and every call. You become exceedingly grateful for all the opportunities, all that has been shared, taught, the exposure to what the best of this world has to offer. Im sorry for going off topic but it's important to me that I share about not having to grit your teeth, not having to see people you don't genuinely enjoy and no longer having to kiss any frogs. I appreciate your sentiment that probably really pertains to guys just starting out or the sad bunch who've maybe been at it for years who haven't recognized the quality of humanity they get to rub elbows with.

This is also me but I can't recall where I I took the photo; guessing I was near steam or heat to bring out this type of vascularity π€·π»ββοΈ

"Trying to have a conversation with you would be like trying to argue with a dining room table, I have no interest in doing it" - B. Frank and for that reason I'm out. Go the gym, go release your negativity and combative nature. Find something, at least one thing you're grateful for, meditate on it, post something here that's positive, share with us something good. I don't agree with you on almost anything but that doesn't mean I don't want you to eat.

This is the type of insanity I'm talking about!!!!! This fukn guy actually believes you, the client, should be paying for his cost of doing business. He feels the same way about advice, he has stated in the past that unless you're paying his bills, why should he listen to you ( true story ) That is the cost of doing business ( overhead ) and if it's not a DROP IN THE BUCKET compared to your profit , you're in the wrong business pal! If you're whining, complaining, moaning about 100.00 + for the cost of advertising, once again, you're in the wrong business!!! At least @Daniel84 was/ is open to friendly advice , doesn't live in an echo chamber and is thankful/grateful for it AND in a moment of frustration, I can see why he initiated this thread.

I LOVE what you just wrote! Thank you for sharing this wonderful story... I can relate in that I know someone, a dear friend I have in West Hollywood " Turgidtoro" who I've been seeing since just about the day I started in the biz... my friend Zeb introduced me to him... he was born in 1949, he's an architect and a designer ( an extremely successful one ) and he is as busy with his work as the day I met him. He's no doubt of "retirement age" but like you, he has an emotional connection to his work, enjoys ( loves ) what he does and also the income that he brings in. I still see him regularly, he's so funny, smart, witty, pleasant and a real joy to be around.
