The thrill of checking out all those hot covers at the corner newsstand has been taken away by the keyboard and the internet. I remember the excitement of purchasing a Torso, Mandate or Honcho back in the 80's at the stand near the Works bar on Columbus Avenue in NY.

Pardon my ignorance, but is the ban city specific? Aren't bathhouses still open in LA? I remember Rudy Guiliani closing St. Mark's Baths in NY when he became mayor. Are there any good bathhouses left? There is a thrill to the anonymity of those places. Those were the days.

If a provider doesn't kiss, it's a dealbreaker for me. Amazing how many will say that they "love" engaging in certain activities, and then backpedal when the time comes. My motto is always take all they promise with a grain of salt.

A friend lived in an apartment right around the corner from this place about 5 years ago, and there were still addicts shooting up on the corner of Russell and Western. Car windows were often smashed on the street. Definitely wasn't the neighborhood you would want to stay at a boutique hotel in -- hopefully that has changed recently.

I had a roommate in college preferred to read explicit stories and j/o to them. He didn't really like sex - never had a boyfriend or sex partner that I know of, even though he was damned hot and had guys falling all over for him. He didn't care for visual porn either. He would pick up a porno magazine only to read (and cum) to the literature. At the time, I thought it was complete narcissism. Now, decades later, not so sure.

The more I watch the news the more I prefer any animal over human! Even though I was bitten by my own dog growing up - I have never become afraid of dogs. And I've been scratched by cats as well, but I still love both unconditionally. I can sense when an animal doesn't want to be bothered with.
