Time and time again I've found well-reviewed masseurs to have little or no therapeutic massage skill (working out knots etc.) whatsoever, and it's become clear most people are mainly interested in other things. I'm interested in the other half of the story as well but it's been hard to find someone good in BOTH respects.

Hopefully these threads help, as I'm looking for the same thing when I hire a masseur.  My go-to deep pressure guy in NYC no longer has his ad up, so I'll be looking for someone new.
