I can also say from recent personal experience that Danny is a multifaceted pleasure. I have spoken on and off over the years and he exceeded any expectations that I had beforehand.
ΒHe is a joy to get to know, and Iβm very glad that I finally had the opportunity to converse and interact with this light of a person.Β

The average sled on a leg press machine without any plates weighs between 100-200 lbs. I usually factor in an additional 150 lbs when figuring out what I'm moving π€ͺ
Always impressed by you @Vin_MarcoΒ ππ

Thanks everyone, definitely enjoying Thursday with friends and family on that day. Just finished a good ole 860 calorie HIIT 1 hour workout tonight and planning to do some strength training tomorrow before heading south.Β
ΒDefinitely burning it before enjoying it.

I would say having a dad who is a type 2 diabetic on ozempic the biggest issue I see is diabetics who actually need the medication for itβs initial purpose cannot find it at their local pharmacies. While people who are taking it to lose the extra 10 to 20 lbs are taking up the supply in the suburban areas.Β
Itβs sad seeing someone who actually need the medication has to travel almost 2 hours just to find his prescription, while upper class gay men who have contacts are taking this medication instead of adjusting their diet or even just change their exercise routine and talking about taking ozempic like itβs taking a multivitamin.
ΒThatβs the main reason why I am trying to change my habits now, I have family members who have health issues like this on both sides and I donβt want to rely on these types of medication that we donβt know the overall long term effectβs especially if itβs not itβs initial purpose.Β
ΒJust my viewpoint based on the scope of the world I live in.Β

Sounds very reasonable ππ½
Thanks @Vin_MarcoΒ also, as far as supplements what are some of the things you would recommend? Right now I mainly do a men's multivitamin and collagen peptides, and every now and then I do apple cider vinegar gummies.

@adunn1992Β this holiday season I'll be in full diet prep mode but there have been years prior where I let up some, took my foot off the pedal and enjoyed "festivities" and waited until the new year came to get after it... Β you can plot and chart your strategy in the meantime... there's always that route too my friend.Β
Thanks for the feedback @Vin_MarcoΒ I think I will at least stay active on the exercise and gym front during this time of the year for 5 days a week minimum , and try to at least try not to indulge outside of my planned social settings like thanksgiving dinner etc. I think at least doing some running and rowing challenges will help at least to stay focused on the gym side during the holidays before they get packed with New Yearβs resolution people.

I won't ever steer you wrong or suggest something that I wouldn't do. I know there are self proclaimed "nutrition and fitness advocates" that don't know squat. I'm always here to help you... you know how to get a hold of me. π« π€π½π€π½
Roger that.Β πΒ May have to ask for more advice about supplements as well. May want to start that before the New Year kicks off.Β

Good question AD! I know everybody's approach is Β a little bit different and certainly no one can ever say or tell me to "live a little" because when I do, I REALLY do but honestly if I have a target date and any of those holidays are before my target date my mindset and my diet prep doesn't give a shit what holiday it is, it's business as usual. I don't expect everyone to adhere to that kind of crazy driven mentality, but when target date comes, I don't want to have any excuse as to why I might have missed the mark. It all depends on your goal, how bad you want it, and how much you're willing to sacrifice. It's been my experience that whenever I'm on a prep for a target date there's always gonna be a social gathering, people to "entertain", and or a holiday but if I gave in to holidays, and these types of events, I would never get into the type of shape that I get myself into.Β
ΒI appreciate the feedback, friend. That is a very good point just like any goal in life there may be other obstacles or responsibilities that I will have to manage in order to achieve a set goal. Go hard or go homeΒ π

Weβre approaching Thanksgiving and Christmas and all other holiday festivities this time of the year. Whatβs your go to tips to staying on track during this time of the year.Β
ΒVisiting my family in the past usually doesnβt allow me to stay in my normal routine of working out or meal schedule so any advice is helpful!Β

I actually just finish listening to Britney Spears memoir. βThe Women in meβ.Β
ΒShe writes about every part of her career and the conservatorship, and I donβt wish that on my worst enemy. Leading up to that situation occurring, you can tell that her dad was controlling every part of her life in a mentally abusive way, possibly due to generational patterns of various levels of abuse as well.
Itβs an excellent read or listen to finally her side of her entire career and personal life.

Hahahaha. Thank you ππ½ Fortunately or unfortunately that type of training Β ππ½ββοΈ is behind me... century rides π΄ too. No one really needs to swim 10 miles without a pause lol π That stuff was strictly born out of the pandemic π· I needed things to both keep me fit and occupy my time π
@sam.fitzpatrickΒ I'm a monster on the ride Β π΄ a monster in the ππ½ββοΈ π I've also done very long open ocean swims in both Tahiti and in Hawaii πΊ I don't exactly have a swimmers build nor one of a swimmer but my times were at least competitive to those that do π«π«ππ½
Pandemic @Vin_MarcoΒ was a beast, literally giving no excuses for staying active during that time. Kept me motivated for sure.
