  1. Definitely. Seems like it's money sitting on the table nobody wants to pick up. I can't imagine the government would try to stop it as they would in North America.
  2. There's one I know of in both Medellin and Bogota that sort of operate that way but generally you're way better off finding some fun online (mileroticos) or on Grindr and you meet there at the love motel. The selection at the brothel type places is really limited and a little lackluster. The Bogota one advertises on mileroticos often. The one in Medellin is a little more underground... look up "Ferchos" or something like that. I only used them a couple times on trips years ago. So I don't have a lot of knowledge on them.
  3. Yeah Colombia isn't as much of a strip club spot. They had one a couple years ago called (I think) Garage? But in terms of opportunities, Bogota blows the North American cities away. It's just not in the bar scene like Montreal or Ft Lauderdale where the main function of the bar is dancers/backrooms. The big thing in Colombia is the love hotel. You hire a guy online, meet at a love motel and have your fun. The love motel culture is pretty wild. I read that it started primarily because so many Colombians live with their family much longer than we do so they needed a place to have their fun. Theatron is an ENORMOUS megaclub. It's something to see. But the dancers are easily missed if you're not looking for them. It's just a giant disco.
  4. Correct. Tried to find what I wrote earlier that would've implied otherwise. I was just making the point that Johnsons is comfortable and an enjoyable experience. If you could put the LeBoy roster in Johnsons I'd be a happy dude. But yes, Johnsons has never been a twink bar and probably never will be. I doubt any city could support more than one. Montreal has Taboo. Ft Lauderdale has LeBoy.
  5. I'll pile on in the sentiment about Fort Lauderdale pricing. Outside the drink prices at Johnsons, there's little to get excited about anymore. I'd be bummed if the scene went away so I still try to visit. But I used to visit Ft Lauderdale 5 or 6 times a year. It's down now to about once a year. Back during the Johnny's days, I'd do 3 or 4 dances a night. I think I've done one dance at LeBoy in 5 years. If I'm interested in a guy, I'll make an offer to head to my place. If that's your strategy, go on slower nights like Sunday. On Friday or Saturdays, usually the hotter guys have plenty of attention and cash. Ask them what other days they're working. I like the vibe at Johnsons. It's much more relaxing. Comfortable places to sit. Drink prices are reasonable, especially during happy hour. It's just that I'm not into the bro gym rats. Twinks and twunks are my thing and Johnsons tries to accommodate guys like me by having 1 or 2 on the roster, but it's like going to a sushi restaurant when you're craving steak. LeBoy has more my type of dancer, but LeBoy is as comfortable to sit as a bus station. Wish they'd redo the entire layout to be more like Johnsons. If someone has a Delorean, I'd love to go back to the Johnny's days. I loved the Wild West nature of the place. Nobody peeking in curtains. No fees. It was dark and seedy and sure LeBoy is prettier inside... but that's not why I go to Ft Lauderdale. The other thing that has kept me from visiting often... hotel prices. Same for Montreal. When you visit international destinations that have a lot more to do and prices are much more agreeable, you might as well bust the passport out and head to Europe, Brazil, Colombia or Thailand. All expenses combined (food, accommodations, and "entertainement"), the cost of a trip are the same if not less.
  6. Friend of mine was up there this past week and said Campus was dead but Expose and Taboo were fun. He said it wasn't packed as in previous years, but was glad to see dancers and not a female dance party as seen in recent social media pics. The pics of a couple of the Expose dancers were right up my alley (I'm into the 18-25ish range, not too much muscle, but some.) Might head up there later this summer.
  7. Most who have quarrels like this are smart to not risk their case by commenting publicly. Giovani is drama and wears it proudly. I'm all for being who you are unapologetically. But a business owner being greedy is hardly a crime. Mistreating dancers - I can't speak to that. If it's true, file charges. But the things that come out of Giovani's mouth makes me wonder who would ever put him in any managerial role. Let alone one where he's the voice of a company. He's had to backtrack and apologize a few times for things that fell out of his mouth - but the apologies seemed far from heartfelt. His positive contribution was getting the club's social media up to speed. Most clubs are way behind on their social media presence. Boardwalk posts the bear bartenders doing a GIF in the same pose every week - as if that'd get me to go. They don't showcase the dancers. Johnson's makes a good effort, but could do more. But LeBoy has been the only one that would entice me to go just based on social postings. However, Giovani's personality just irritates the bejesus out of me. If he had his way, LeBoy would've become a drag bar. The whole tirade he went on a few months back about customers complaining about dancers wearing high heels and so forth shows he really doesn't get how business works. He threatened to ban any customers who didn't like heels and dared to express that. In business, you give the customer what they want. You can express yourself and fly all your colors to the world, especially in Wilton Manors, at a variety of clubs and protests. But when you're on the clock and trying to make a dollar, give customers what they want. For example, one thing that always puzzles me about clubs like LeBoy is the insistence on playing music the dancers like but customers have to tolerate. That's one definite strength for Johnsons. They play a lot of music that is catered to the customer's taste. Anyway, I'm rambling. But a friend told me about this walk out thing. I'd be surprised if it even happened. And even more surprised if it made a dent. I hope to have clubs like LeBoy, Johnsons and Boardwalk around for years to come. The internet has done a number on the scene and it makes sense why. Clubs have to step up and provide a level of personal service and an environment that Chaturbate or OnlyFans can't.
  8. Cruised around the current and former hot spots while passing through Fort Lauderdale Friday night. It was so strange being in town and not hitting the ATM... repeatedly. I first passed by the old Johnny's on Broward. I was curious to see what had become of my favorite little dive. If those walls could talk, I'd be ruined. I was a little surprised to see that nothing had changed. Nobody's taken over the property. It's still empty. The only real difference since the last time I saw it was that some graffiti had been spray painted on the building. Next I headed toward LeBoy. As much as I've criticized LB, I do miss it. Sean sucked most of the life out of the place. He imitated the pricing structure of the clubs that failed and that led to far fewer visits from me over the past few years. I used to visit 3 or 4 times a year. I can't even remember the last time I walked in that door. It's been at least a year or maybe even two now. I'm eager to see if the new owners have brought some of the fun back but it was closed... just the liquor store was open, but I didn't see anyone inside. I was surprised when I rolled up on Boardwalk to find the parking lot packed. I wondered if they had some kind of special loophole that was letting them operate. Turns out it was just all restaurant business. Didn't look to be an empty table. The same for the little bars/restaurants in Wilton Manors. Johnson's was closed, but the other spots in that plaza were packed. Parking was just as difficult to find as it would be on any normal Friday night pre-virus. Hopefully these spots will be able to survive this. I haven't had a good time at Boardwalk in years and LeBoy never had the fun of those wild nights I had at Johnny's. But still I'd have loved to go in.
  9. LOL @Tweety... my first thought too. But since discovering the Ignore feature on this board, life has been fantastic.
  10. I just gave an early Christmas present to myself. I'm sharing with all... if you click on the profile of a user, there's an Ignore button.
  11. Probably trying to find new material. Not that there ever is any. Same bullet points anytime someone says they had fun during their visit.
  12. More into college type guys so my list is skewed that way.... #1: Taboo in Montreal #2: LeBoy in Fort Lauderdale #3: Johnsons In Fort Lauderdale BJ Rooster's in Atlanta is a close runner up. Johnsons has so many things I like about it over LeBoy... but I'm just not as much into the beefy guys. A fun twist to this poll would be, what 3 clubs do you wish were still around? For me it'd be... #1: Johnnys / Ft Lauderdale - LeBoy doesn't have the same fun vibe Johnnys had. Johnny's was the wild west. Sean has lost it with LeBoy. He tried too hard to copy the bars that failed. Odd logic isn't it? #2: Adonis / Montreal - Went through several name changes after it closed. But I was fortunate to go a few times before it went under. #3: Lux / Montreal - it was always a wild card - some nights were a dud, but if you found a diamond in the rough, it was a fun night.
  13. Another stellar post! Thanks for the update! Drink prices were down at LeBoy on my last visit. Is Sean getting realistic? I've been spending more time the last few visits to Ft Laud at Johnson's even though most of the guys aren't my type. This may swing the pendulum a bit.
  14. I feel ya man. It's a great place. Drink prices are reasonable. It's comfortable. Staff is solid. But yeah the beefy guys aren't so much my type either. You can tell they do make an effort to appease us, but I've never seen more than 2 or 3 on a given night that I'd swipe right on Tinder on. I get the preference for gay. I'm actually the other way around. I like having fun with straight guys for the fantasy aspect of it I guess. The thing I like about the clubs is finding a guy I wouldn't be able to be able t0 have fun with in real life. When I find a cute but a little tough lean straight guy, money tends to fly out of my wallet.
  15. Fantastic post. I wish my memory was as good as yours. I only ended up doing one visit to Montreal earlier this year. I think I know the boxer you mentioned. I liked him too... such a carefree fun guy. Great body.
