I've been seeing many ads on my Instagram for 5th Avenue Men's Spa. This one came up today. Does anyone have any experiences or feedback to share?

Since it was early in the day and I was in the Union Square area with my neck and shoulders bothering me, I decided to try East Men for the first time. It seemed that Matthew, the manager, was the only one present. I asked for and hour massage, which he agreed to. Although the facility was like others have previously described, (thin walls where you can hear everything going on both inside, outside, above, and next door) there weren't too many sounds that took away from the overall experience. Plus, they had music playing which masked the sounds to an extent. The first massage room, near the reception desk, was narrow with a sliding door and became fairly dark when the door was closed. Matthew gave me good massage combining therapeutic and very sensual elements. We went the full hour (55 minutes of massage with 5 minutes to clean up). He didn't rush at all and although we didn't talk to each other too much, he did check in to see how it felt. What impressed me most was that he also did a combination of aromatherapy with acupressure techniques on my sinuses, head and neck which felt amazing. (He asked before doing it and I forgot what he called it). I would consider returning at a later time in the day to try out some of the other guys but this experience was a solid A-/B+

I was in Chelsea today around the corner from G man and decided to give it a try. I was limited on time so I only went in for a 30 minute massage. I was greeted by a young, 20-something, cute Asian guy named Tom who said he could see me immediately. He showed me to the front room that has the window that faces the street. The room was clean but was just a little smaller compared to other places. He was very nice although not really too talkative. He made me comfortable and immediately went to work on my back. Overall, the massage was good and pretty sensual; but it ended about 5 minutes early which I'm not complaining about since I was on a tight schedule. So I guess I took one for the team and went to M&J today after buying the three 90 minute sessions for $65 on Groupon. After purchasing, I called and made my appointment. About 15 minutes before I arrived, I received a text from them asking to if I could arrive 15 minutes later as they were running behind. It wasn't a big deal for me, so I said yes. The spa is in a typical Manhattan small office building on the 6th floor. Only one of the three elevators was working so there were a lot of people waiting. Upon arrival, it was nicely furnished and clean. One of the owners, Jimmy, immediately took me to the room. It was clean and decent but didn't look as nice as HK or 27's room. Before we started, I told Jimmy that I needed to cut the time down to an hour which he was happy to do. The massage was very therapeutic and Jimmy definitely gave me a great massage with some sensual elements. It ended in the usual fashion and that was pretty good too. (No extras were discussed). Jimmy is Asian and in his 40s/50s and he obviously has been trained in providing different types of massage techniques (Swedish, some shiatsu too). He was very friendly as well and apologized for running late. I did see another Asian guy in his 20s in the waiting room when I was leaving and Jimmy said that usually there's always someone on staff ready for walk-ins but today he was short staffed. It was a different experience from what I'm used to at HK & 27. I would consider going back because I bought the 3, 90 minutes body work package but only if a) I was in the area or b) if 27 or HK couldn't accommodate my schedule. They also have a loyalty program where if you have 5 1 hour massage you get a free 30 minutes one on your next visit. Hope this helps!

You may want to try some of the events put on at Rainbow Playground in Long Island City. They probably have the most diverse attendees out of all the NYC parties. The promoter even does events in Manhattan. Compared to other venues, the Queens location is the most spacious and even has private rooms. Tuesday nights are usually packed with up to 100 guys, as are Fridays and Saturdays. The subway is across the street from the venue for those who are commuting from Manhattan. SCUM is another promoter that touts itself as having the most inclusive events of all colors, sizes and even gender/sexual identities. They have weekly events 3 nights a week in Manhattan and once a month in Brooklyn. Hope this helps.

Short answer is YES! I've been to a few Workmen's Lunches where close to 50% of the attendees were POC.

I've been to Workmen's Lunch several times this year on Tuesdays and Thursdays at their midtown location. Like others have said, it tends to attract a more mature (40+) crowd and the action starts pretty quickly and ends by 1:30ish. I was there on a Thursday about 3 weeks ago and at its peak, there were about 50 guys but by 2pm, there was 10 guys left, including me. What I like is that, usually, whenever I wasn't interested in someone, they understood and moved on. What I didn't like is that there are the occasional guys who don't take no for an answer and if you're in the middle of something with someone, they believe they have "the right" to grope and grab you. (One particular regular comes to mind...) I have seen some younger, in shape hot guys who have been there several times and love the "daddy" vibe. Other in shape guys of all ages have also frequented and have played with average to out of shape guys. I've seen bears, otters and gorillas (oh my!) as well as twinks and twunks. It brings in white collar workers to construction workers in the area as well as tourists. Like a lot of these places and events, it can be hit or miss.There have been times when the vibe and action was great and other times when it completely sucked. I've been to one of their other parties, blow buddies, twice. First time was amazing and had about 50+ guys at its peak; the second time, not so much. In my opinion, Workmen's Lunch is worth checking out a few times if you happen to be in the area and don't want to go to one of the massage places nearby and spend a lot more than the $30 admission.

Same owner, additional location which looks a little more "modern"/upscale compared to 27. (Both locations are fine and clean, just HK is newer and they have even added a VIP room which, I believe has its own shower. According to Ben, the owner, there's no additional charge for the VIP room -- it's just first booked, first used). Some of the staff at 27 will work HK on certain days and vice-versa. Your best bet is to check out the schedule which can be found on their Facebook page. It's usually updated every Sunday and if a guy listed for 27 is working at HK on a particular day, it will be noted. I had my hour massage with Rodrigo today. He's a good looking, tall guy with a swimmer's build. The majority of the massage was therapeutic with some sensual elements thrown in. My experience is that some guys will do that when it's your first massage with them. Overall, I did enjoy his technique. He didn't talk too much but did check with me to make sure I was enjoying myself throughout the experience. I would request him again especially if my preferred guys aren't available.

I booked a 60-minute massage with Rodrigo, tomorrow as he was the only one who was available at my appointment time.
