A quick update from a 2nd visit for Labor Day weekend: Unfortunately, I couldn't stay at Stock for long on Friday. I'd had two long days and was too tired for a night out. One reason why I choose holiday weekends to go to Montreal is you are guaranteed three busy nights in a row, so if one night proves to be a dud it's no problem, Saturday at Stock was really busy. Lots of patrons standing and lots of good stage performances from Enrique, Mike and Morgan. Tyler seems really popular and picked up a lot of tips on stage. There was poor weather in Montreal on Sunday, but still lots of patrons. However, there were only about 15 dancers. I've been going to Stock long enough to know that dancers will always come and go. But this year I've seen quite a few I've known well stop dancing (Joe, Spencer, Yannick) and I can't deny having missed them dancing. That's not a reflection on the current roster of dancers, but the loss of familiar faces.

Just returned from Canada Day weekend in Montreal, with long summer days and very high temperatures day and night. I'll admit to having had some reservations about this trip. I knew that long time favorites like Yannick would not be at Stock and Spencer performs very rarely. Thursday at Stock was extremely quiet. Saturday was typically very busy. Friday and Sunday were both moderately busy. There were lots of new dancers. Morgan was very good at working the crowd on stage. Franco's physique is phenomenal. Had private dances with Jaycob and Rico. Sadly, I didn't see Chris all weekend, who I missed having a dance with last year. Joe has stopped dancing, but is now working for the club as staff and seems very happy with his new job. I didn't have time to visit Campus, but recognized a lot of former Stock dancers hanging around outside. The real takeaway from the trip was it looks like The Village has really turned a corner. A few years ago The Village really looked like it was in a state of permanent decline. Last year's new openings Bar Renard and District Video lounge are going strong. There were a lot of new shops and restaurants that I didn't recognize from last year. A new diner La Dînette à Mado has opened next to Cabaret Mado. There's still a lot of vacant real estate but it isn't as noticeable. The old Bourbon complex has now been demolished and the condo building that will replace it is marketing for pre-sales: https://www.lebourbon.co/registration Look forward to returning for Labor Day weekend.

This thread certainly brings back a lot of memories. Dean appeared on Tyra Banks many years ago to talk about his work:

I think it's a combination of different things. Montreal has a long "anything goes" history that dates back to the era of Prohibition in the United States. http://activehistory.ca/2012/12/remembering-montreals-cabarets/ Montreal is also a big university city and its a role that suits students looking to earn money. I guess it's a job that easier to do when it's not your home town.

A question for StockBar: Do you have any plans to upgrade the website to a secure https connection? I note the link to sign up to join is not a secure connection and Google is to soon mark up websites that don't use https as "not secure". http://join.stockbar.com/signup/signup.php https://security.googleblog.com/2018/02/a-secure-web-is-here-to-stay.html I appreciate this is a relatively unexciting topic but online security is important! Thanks

He posts a lot of amateur footage on his Tumblr account: https://awolfofficial.tumblr.com/

If you want to get in touch with Joey, don't e-mail him. Message his phone as he checks his e-mails very rarely.

How was your weekend?

solidaceguy in Los Angeles is also no longer advertising.

If you're nervous about meeting someone, sometimes meeting at a public place (eg a metro station if arriving on public transportation) and walking together to your hotel / home helps break the ice with regular conversation. Have towels / bottled water on hand as some bodybuilders can perspire when posing & flexing. Also, if you want a soft / relaxing session, then some slow music on in the background really helps with the mood. To be honest, I'm sure if you respect his limits and show the normal social courtesies of any host, you'll be fine.

Always ask them to confirm their fee in advance, even if it is published. If they don't publish a fee I would ask in the first communication. If they publish a fee, I would ask them to confirm when we've agreed to meet.

I had a similar experience with a new dancer at Stock last year. He looked cute, so I thought I'd try a private dance. At first I thought this was going to go well when he immediately dropped his pants and underwear. But then he started grinding mechanically with no attempt to connect at all. It was almost like I was having to fight him at times to direct him. In converse, there was one dancer at Stock many years ago who on stage looked like he could not get off the stage quick enough. Always started late, no eye contact with the audience, left stage early, but was actually one of the most forthcoming in private. -
Does anyone have any experience of Tim? Based in Munich but travels around Europe. https://rentmen.eu/massagebooy

Tried contacting Ted to set up a meet this week (a year after I started this thread!). Quoted a very high 250 GBP for first hour and then no replies. I note his Rentmen profile is no longer active. Perhaps a lesson to never delay meeting someone you're interested in!

I'm really saddened to hear this. Someone I know who seemed to have it all lost his job because of meth addiction and is now in jail.
-
Has anyone heard from Joey recently? I have e-mailed him a couple of times but no reply and he's usually quite responsive.

Try Alex. He has a nice studio set-up in his flat in Southwark which is a short walk from the Tate Modern art gallery. https://www.masseurfinder.com/members/abc12345.shtml It's very easy to get to on the Jubilee London Underground line.

Just text him. You'll probably get a response very quickly.

Reese is huge. One thing I would advise it's best to message his phone a couple of days before you want to meet. He seems to struggle to keep on top of e-mails.

It's at 4:40 of the current video of the week: http://www.stockbar.com/en/votw

Anyone with any experience of MuscleBlondTed in London? His physique looks seriously good: https://rentmen.com/MuscleBlondTed

My review posted today. I booked Joey for a muscle worship and that's what I got, and a very good one too. I'd agree if you're looking for more than what Joey advertises then you need to make your expectations clear in advance.

I have submitted a review. And I will be meeting up with Joey next time I visit Montreal.
