  1. I'm hoping to book soon but I can't quite justify splurging for the 4-hand version at this point. If you had to choose one of them, would you recommend Richard or Marco?
  2. Thanks for this! I've been thinking about booking with either him or his younger assistant Marco. Having a sexy masseur is great, but it doesn't compensate for a lack of skill. If Richard has good hands *and* a nice body, that's very helpful to know!
  3. *bump* Visiting Cincy now, and wondering the same thing! Gil - any luck? (Or warnings?)
  4. Update: I made a very stupid mistake - I looked for him on rentmen instead of rentmasseur, where his profile looks much more legit. https://rentmasseur.com/Madeinbrasil Apologies for the false alarm. @Keithtum, I hope you have a fantastic session! Let us know how it goes. :-)
  5. I may have run into this guy on doublelist: I replied to a post advertising a massage. When he wrote back, I asked if he had a listing/reviews anywhere: he directed me to "madeinbrasil" on rentmen... but there was basically nothing there, so it's hard for me to know if he's legit. Sounds like others here have had mixed experiences with him: personally, I think I'll steer clear - at least for now.
  6. I'm well aware that there a scammers on Scruff who advertise massage services, and that being asked to pay something up front is a huge red flag. For more on that, see threads like these: My question is whether there's a good way to spot these scammers BEFORE you get far enough down the path that you're ready to book something. I recently noticed a new user in my area going by KvErS, with a profile that was essentially advertising massage services. I asked if he had reviews anywhere and he linked me to zoneofzentherapy.info/sebastian, where the pics, rates, & everything matched with what he told me. But then I noticed something a little strange: the website didn't give any location info at all. There were reviews, but it's easy enough to fake those. I was curious what would happen if I removed the /sebastian from the website, and lo & behold I get the same site (identical text/rates/services/reviews/everything) but with pics of a totally different guy. I guess there *could* be 2 guys in the business, but this is definitely smelling fishy to me. I'm glad I noticed the absence of location, but it makes me wonder what would have happened if they'd been smart enough to check my IP address and display a corresponding location. What other ways do you have of sniffing out scammers sooner rather than later? Do you simply assume that everyone who advertises on location-based apps is actually a scammer?
  7. That definitely does sound like it could be the same guy. I’ll PM you.
  8. This is definitely something I’ve been thinking about. Although in my case, I don’t really need him to do anything to me: I’m more curious about what he’ll let me do to him. I don’t have high expectations…
  9. Thanks, everyone! He’s offered to have a phone convo, so I’ll take him up on that and see how it goes. But I think it would take a lot to convince me to go through with it this time.
  10. Hi, folks - rookie here, in all respects. I'll be happy to provide more details/context if necessary, but the core question is whether anyone is familiar with an escort-like service called "Varsity Empire"? Internet searches for this turn up only unrelated pages with the same name. I responded to an ad on doublelist, and got a response from someone who "started a private network for gay men who want to meet real actual straight men", and offered to connect me with an ex-MMA fighter for a fee. I'm getting a weird vibe, and I can't tell if that's just 'cause I haven't done this before, or if there's actually something sketchy happening here. I get that these kinds of services will naturally be a bit more discreet, but shouldn't there be some evidence of reputability in one way or another? If figured if that exists anywhere, this is probably the place where someone would know! I'm in Philly, but the number I was contacted from had a phone number with a Manhattan area code. I'd be grateful for (a) info on this specific organization, (b) general advice on how to vett unfamiliar services (what questions to ask, red flags to look for), (c) both, or (d) whatever you think I *should* be thinking about but haven't yet! Thank you! I'll try to remember to check back here soon... not sure if there's a way to get email alerts when someone replies? (I just selected "follow topic", so maybe that'll help?)
