I think his body and face look more like a 50 year old. I'm not seeing a 38 year old body on him. Still, I'd do him.

I would ask to see his permit to collect sales tax issued by the state of NY (or wherever he claims he resides). Of course, if he's travelling out of his home state - no taxes collected (unless he's like Amazon and registered in every state).

The above clip with Dixie Carter in that costume only points to the fact that she should have seriously considered ALW's offer to take over the role of 'Norma Desmond' in 'Sunset Blvd' back in 1996. She would've been spectacular. But I agree - she would've been a great 'Mame'.

I think it needs celebrity names on the marquee to make it successful - just like Midler in 'Gypsy' and Jackman in 'The Music Man'.

My city did this to a major thoroughfare which is lined with businesses and restaurants. They narrowed a two lane road (which lead traffic out of the downtown to the on-ramp of a major highway) to a one lane road, removed parking spaces and installed a barely-used bike lane to the anger of business owners. Mostly to appease the college students at three nearby universities. After four years of traffic turmoil and a major loss to businesses, the new mayor (elected last November) has finally listened to the business community and angry drivers and has decided to remove the bike lane and revert back to the way things used to be by the end of May. It will cost taz payers a few hundreds of thousands of dollars to do this - same as it cost to install the bike lane in 2020.

It's definitely time for a MAME revival on Broadway. I know there was some serious talk about a revival by Jerry Herman back in 2002-03, at the same time there was talk about a TV Movie on ABC. (Streisand was going to star, then she was going to direct and Cher was to star, then Bette Midler was to star, etc.). His plan to bring it back to B'way squashed the ABC project. He was hoping to have three of his revivals up and running by 2010 - 'Mame', 'La Cage' and 'Hello Dolly'. At the time, he mentioned actress Michele Lee (she had just finished a run in 'Tales of the Allergist's Wife'), but also mentioned a few others (I remember Glenn Close and Shirley MacLaine were also talked about). But plans fell through when he decided to revive "La Cage" first, which opened in 2004 and flopped, closing six months later. He iced his plans for the other two. 'Dolly' was finally revived in a successful run with Bette Midler a few years ago, and there was talk once again that 'Mame' was next - but the pandemic squashed those rumors. Nothing has been said since, except among fans who've had it on their wish list. It's time there was a revival these days - who do you think could star and make it a successful revival ?

He's heading back to RI in a couple of weeks. For $150, I might take another spin with him. Just need to wear ear plugs so I don't have to listen to him.

It seems like she determined 'Sunset Blvd' was a 'shitty musical' only after she got fired and she had gotten bad reviews. Before that, she seemed to like it - especially in its workshop, rehearsals, previews, etc. If she thought it was 'shitty' from the beginning, she would have never contracted herself to star in the West End and then again on Broadway. A talented, reputable legend such as she would've quit early on, not wanting to be associated with this 'shitty' musical...yet, she didn't.

That sounds similar to what my CPA explained a few weeks ago, which is why I ended up owing a bit more.

I know nothing about doing my own taxes so I go to my CPA (who charges $275 for a simple tax return with no itemizations). Anyhow, I had my appointment two weeks ago with him, and I owed* quite a bit more in fed taxes than I did the year before, even though nothing changed in my income. He explained to me that EVERYONE owed more this year due to a change in taxes in 2023, which not many people were aware of until they filed this year. As he said, "It snuck up on everyone - including him." So it may not be you doing anything wrong - it's just the tax laws which have changed slightly. *I might have said this before, but I will say it again. Years ago, when I was just starting out with my own business as a 'D/B/A', my CPA said it's always best to owe the feds money each April, rather than get a big refund. As he said, 'Why get a refund of a few thousand dollars ? Why let the Feds use your extra thousands and then return it to you with no interest accumulated ? ' He said it's always best to owe them money - usually $200 or less is perfect (at least for my income). So each year I owe - usually under $100. Last year I owed $19. This year - with the the tax laws changing as I mentioned - I owed $150.

I'm convinced many young providers use it - many. I don't care how fit and sexually active you are in your 20s and 30s - how can they maintain an erection all day / night with different clients when they have a full schedule ? Or if they are not sexually attracted to their client ?
