It’s a valid question. “Bodybuilder” can be an elastic term, covering (to continue the movie star analogy) body types like Ryan Gosling (sleek, visible abs, but not bulky in clothes) all the way up to Dwayne Johnson (massive, defined, and veiny). For me, “bodybuilder” means the Dwayne Johnson end of the spectrum, and beyond. My kink is big, freaky muscle, the kind carried by lifters who compete (or could compete) in pro bodybuilding shows.

Dude — you need to see more summer movies. They may not be professional bodybuilders, but all these actors have recently displayed physiques at least as big and ripped as Arnold in his cinematic prime. It appears to me that extreme movie muscle is alive and well (thank god). Why the need to body-shame muscle guys?

As someone who lives in San Francisco and is extremely turned on by bodybuilders (as opposed to, say, twinks), there are few locals who qualify. There are occasional visitors, but they are rare. I would love to have easy access to the bodybuilders who frequent New York, Los Angeles, and Miami. But they don't often travel to S.F.
