  1. Tipping is the one thing that worries me about private providers. I found it so much easier in Berlin where I could just ask and be told a list of prices. Some of the NYC spas are nice because they seem to really like a tip of $40+ depending on extras. I worry if I go to a private place I will get shamed for not tipping enough.

Not entirely true. There are a ton of hot rentmasseurs in DC or visiting throughout the year. No strip clubs, but do they really still exist anywhere? Parties are much better.

That's true, there are many on the Rent a men sites. I just really enjoy the convenience of parlors. Grandee is my favorite in NYC and I take the train up there four times a year. Sometimes I spoil myself and do a circuit of the m4m parlors. I just wish DC had a m4m parlor.

  3. Gay. hands down. I got a massage at a m4m place in New York City, and read in the reviews that one of the brothers was straight who ran the place. I end up getting him and.. the fake attitude was a total turn off. I don't want to be manipulated by a straight guy and that's what it felt like. If the provider was bi or gay, I would be more comfortable but.. how would anyone know?

  4. I'm going to spend a few months in Australia starting in Melbourne and traveling around a bit. What are the rules/laws around male massage.. etc.. in Australia? When I was in Germany you go for a massage and a happy ending is included in the price. I don't know what the rules, etc. around this are in Australia so would appreciate any guidance or referrals.

Anywhere worth going in DC anymore? I know the nude places are long gone.

DC is a dry zone. No massage therapists, no strip clubs, it's a vacant lot for men.

I’ve always wondered, what exactly is a table shower?

The female run massage places seem to have the best. I've not gotten the same from a male except once in Atlanta. In the DC area, a table shower is this long massage table that is in a shower setting. You lay on it naked and someone literally bathes you. It's a wonderful feeling. Unfortunately the "showers" I've had at male spas in NYC tend to be a little splashing of water, no bathing. The problem with going to the female places is.. well. they're female.....

There is a lot of hate for Grandee on this forum… so while I acknowledge the risk of getting a pie thrown at me, I had a pretty good experience today (not amazing, but good.) Good enough though that I plan to repeat and will have it on my list whenever I’m in NYC. I’ve had awful experiences at Energy, so I understand why people get upset if someone else recommends a place where they’ve had a terrible experience. But I wanted to share my experience in case someone like me finds it valuable.

Here’s what was good about my experience at Grandee today:

    - Good communication via text when I wanted to book, including helping me find a masseur that’s to my liking

    - Super cute, friendly, communicative mid-twentys, very fit Asian masseur (if you like younger Asian guys, this might be the place for you)

    - No hassling for tips or discussion about tips during the session

    - Full 60 minute massage, no time shorting

    Here’s what was bad:

    - Massage was just ok, I would say technique was 5/10. But all things considered my experience was 7/10, maybe even a bit higher.

-Facilities are old and while it’s not the cleanest,  it’s not terrible either. Much cleaner than Energy IMO, I didn’t feel gross. Frankly I have been in many massage parlors in other cities that are much worse.

That’s the end of my rant. But if you like a decent massage and (like me) want the attention of a younger, attractive Asian guy then you will probably enjoy yourself. For those that don’t find that exciting, don’t come after me. ☺️

I don't understand Grandee hate either. I've been there four time over the past two years and it's been fantastic each time. The shower is anemic and pointless, but the massages have always been good and I've had enormous fun.

I stay very busy, and my costs are only going up. Taxes, general costs of living, and business expenses are all higher in California than in Texas. I will also be commuting daily from my home to a business location, about 45 mins each way (vs living on site in TX).

Nobody is happy about higher prices, no matter how slight, and I know only a percentage of the market is interested in hiring me at any price - BUT let’s say you were a client interested in hiring me. What do you think about the proposed changes below?

I’m particularly interested in your opinion if you are located in the San Diego area.

    Proposed Pricing:

    Massage

    $80 / 30 min (vs $75)

    $150 / 60 min (vs $140)

    $210 / 90 min (vs $195)

    $260 / 120 min (vs $240)

    ^add to any massage:

      $40 / 15 min hot stones (vs $35)

    Body Care

    $50 / 30 min body scrub (vs $45)

    $70 / 45 min body trimming (vs $65)

    (body sculpting removed from menu)

    Cuddle Therapy

    $80 / 30 min (vs $65)

    $150 / 60 min (vs $120)

    Full Service (no change)

    $300 / hr

    $500 / two hours

    Escort Service (no change)

    $1,000 / five hours

    $2,000 / overnight

    $5,000 / weekend or (2) days

    $1,000 / additional day after (2) days

    $10,000 / week

    Notes:

Escort service is all inclusive; companionship, massage/spa, and full service, any combination.

Massage pricing is consistent for therapeutic, sensual, and erotic style massages.

Honestly, it depends on the guy. It's really hard to find a male provider who is legit, let alone one who does extras. For the massage itself, $70 is about as much as I'm willing to pay because I can get a great female massage for less than that. Extras.. Like I said in my message about rates, more than $50 and I am better off waiting till I get home. It's really a shame that getting a massage from a man is still seen as homoerotic or somehow less masculine for straight men. There was a time when men were routinely giving other men massages.

  9. There is a lot of information available on rates for female providers, for example $40 seems to be the going tip for a happy ending. $140 for intercourse. Somewhere in between for everything else. That could go up to $160 for an especially great provider, but often not. I apply that thinking to the spas in NYC. The beautiful men seem very happy at a $40 tip for my massage ending on a happier note. Some will let you give them a blowjob for $80. I've never gone beyond that but those seem to be fair and welcome tipping amounts. Granted it's NYC. In Washington D.C. where I live part of the year, female happy ending is $40 but from a male provider you're expected to pay more. Supply and demand I suppose.

I've been wanting to seek out a male provider in the DC area but I don't want to insult them with a low tip. Hence my question.

Most of Grandee have not been gay. Touting Grandee and Energy seems like suspect motives.

I usually do a circuit. HK, Grandee, and energy but I'll check out others in between. The experience at TSM was just a major turn off. I would soon as go to a Tuna massage than TSM again. To each their own.

Well Alven does touch my glutes, gives me all sorts of stretching, pays attention to my pecs to my toes. Never once a glove and somehow I always leave happy

davidShaw was this your first massage ever ? Or just at this spa.  But not sure what occurred would be deemed average or normal

Definitely not my first massage. I don't remember which of the brothers it was but he was just a turn off. Maybe this Alven guy is better but the whole gay for pay fakery was just a turn off. If you want something less fake I suggest other places like Energy, or Grandee. Paying a straight guy to jerk you off seems sad but I guess it's all part of the fantasy.

  12. This is a strange place and I'm curious how other's feel. I knew that both of the guys at this place are straight, but I figured I would give it a try. Alvin gave a good massage but .. it was weird. He's very straight and so it was kind of a turn off. When he pulled on the rubber glove to jerk me off it just killed the vibe.

How do you feel about getting extras from a straight male provider?

  13. I have not tried him personally but he advertises on Grindr. Chaan Thai Yoga Massage, and the person's name is Kevin. You can find him on the reservation system as Kevin P. Attractive, young, thin Asian guy. There is a short bald Asian guy that advertises about a place on Golansky Blvd in Woodbridge. Stay away, he's awful.

    HUSH MANHATTAN SPA FOR MEN

    YEAH MAN SPA ,CHEN

Guse  how about your favorite massage spa  list

I'm thinking of taking a trip to the city in a few weeks and might go to HK MEN SPA. What makes it your number one?

  15. Pricing is the most important but I can understand how that would create conflict. My personal feeling is they will always try to get the most out of you. Maybe put a range? For example massage $50-100. Tip: $50. Etc.

I think you already have this but would like to know if their massage skills are legit. The M4M places I go to in NYC, they give good massages first, above and beyond second so to speak.
