Paranoia, Grindr, Emojis

Talking to a guy on Grindr. All good indications.

 

Except, he has a dollar-sign emoji in profile. And I know Grindr has very restrictive filters that search out and prevent anything in profiles, names, profile-pics, etc that indicate $, gen, etc. Ive tried a few indicators as a potential client and they got rejected.

 

So, my paranoid mind wonders... how did this guy get a blatant $ emoji past Grindr?

I've come across boys with dollar signs in their profile as well. My first message is always "how much?" They're always surprisingly upfront.

I was being too paranoid.... wondered if Grindr was working with law enforcement and therefore enabling the emoji for that one account.
