Thanks for taking me down memory lane. I was fortunate to have seen many of those stars and the shows. I know time marches on and yes I am of the older generation, but give me shows of yesterday anytime over the current crop of "Disney" shows on Broadway.

May have been one of the last times Merman appeared in public. She was diagnosed with brain cancer in early 1983.

Surprised Angela Lansbury was not included, unless she was filming somewhere. 1982 . . . she would have been post-Sweeney Todd and pre-Murder She Wrote. There were a couple more Night of 100 Stars after this, but the first was the best.
