>It moved a bit too slowly for me.

Too slowly? Good Lord, there was a plot twist about every 5 minutes.

And more and I could hardly cope!

It wasn't meant to be an action picture.:7

RE: On Again Tonight (Saturday)???

IN NYC it will run Friday 10-11 p.m.on NBC...They won't be moving it to Thurs..ER is "still breathing", for the Crowd who get's off on other people's Medical Problems! LOL

Desperate Housewives is just that.. for Desperate Housewives, who were 20 Something's and into Melrose Place! Those "Plots" are really going Wack Now!

"Thank The Gods" we have moved on to more "Adult" thinking Entertainment! IMHO of course..:7

RE: On Again Tonight (Saturday)???

Just got around to watching the first installments of

this show today and was happily surprised how much I enjoyed

the characters and evolving storylines. It's quite well-written

and well-acted with some very appealing actors. I have to think

the network would give it some sort of decent chance to build an

audience given the overall state of NBC and it's dismal showing in the

ratings these days. (At least I hope they give it a chance, as I

have the TIVO set for future episodes and would be disappointed to

see it go away.)

Also, since I watched all three hours in one sitting I forwarded

through all the commercial breaks. Did anyone else notice an

inordinate amount of breaks during this show? Perhaps I was so

engaged I didn't notice the time passing, but it certainly

seemed to use the stained-glass window device every couple of minutes and

go to commercial messages. If I'd been watching it during the

original broadcast, I probably would've given up in frustration.

Thank you God for TIVO and DVR's!

RE: On Again Tonight (Saturday)???

The problem with " Book Of Daniel " is the backlash from local affilate stations across the nation who carry NBC programming. Some stations are refusing to air the program. Can't really blame them as it's about dollars and cents in ad revenue as well as respect. I think last weeks Nielsen Ratings gave it an audience of 8 million, it's certainly not good news for a well hyped show. Over on CBS, " Numbers " continues to rise and wins it's time slot on a weekly basis. With this in mind, it's only a matter of time before NBC gives " Daniel " the wicked boot.

Perhaps when " Surface " officially ends it's run on Monday night for NBC sometime next month to make room for Howie Mandel's new game before. In fact before Howie's show comes back from hiatus, NBC programmers just for fun should consider putting " Book Of Daniel " on Monday night in the 8 p.m time slot. With the sole intent of burying the WB " 7th Heaven " in the weeks ratings and offcourse pissing off Brenda Hampton for the hell of it. Oh well who the hell cares.

REALLY WANT TOO...

I really want to like "Book of Daniel", so I had my pal record it, but it was hard to get through. I found so many other things to do...

Business is business. Is Daniel a money-maker for NBC?

I am afraid not.

Considering that NBC put Book of Daniel on Friday nights, it really didn't do all that bad placing 42nd, beating the ever-increasingly lame Will and Grace which is at 54th for that same week. The two shows that beat Daniel in that time slot didn't even make the top 25 shows. I hope they stick with it and try a new night and time slot once the initial 8 episode run ends.

Problem is, networks don't give shows a chance these days. Seinfeld is now considered to have been one of the best shows ever, yet it received one of the worst reviews by a test audience and barely hung on the first couple of seasons.

I'm with you Jeff. I hope that NBC gives the show a chance to find it's audience.

If not, I would hope they would spin it off to one of their other networks on cable like BRAVO. That way, I think the hard right would leave the show alone.
