Burger King Kong

Has anybody else seen that Burger King commercial where the giant Triple Whopper falls out of the sky, in promotion of the King Kong movie?

 

I watched that and snickered a little when the burger smashed the guy's car, then shivered a little when I saw him walk over to the giant burger, place both hands on one of the patties, lean in and take a gentle bite out of it.

 

Why did I shiver? It took me a while to figure out. I realized that all of his body movements looked as though he was... eating someone's ass. Whoa. (Reminds me of when I saw a soap commercial as a teenager and the showering dude soaped himself up just a LITTLE bit longer than I expected.)

 

 

Also, I read about the old KING KONG's in my film guide. Here's some clever critics' remarks:

 

1933 - "Just amusing nonsense punctuated by such reflections as why,if the natives wanted to keep the monster on the other side of the wall, they should have built a door big enough to let him through." (James Agate)

 

1976 - "The one and original lovable monster is lost amid all the hydraulic manipulations in what now emerges as the story of a dumb blonde who falls for a huge plastic finger." (Judith Crist, Saturday Review)

You boys kill me. When do people find the time to give reviews about Burger King commercials involving King Kong? It's a wonder Rome was ever built.
