I recently chatted with a Hoovillager who has NEVER HEARD OF FABIO. In aid of his deprived condition :+ I submit the following pics and info on America's silliest excuse for a celebrity.

Best known as a model for the cover of romance novels, Fabio has been a huckster for a number of things since like "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter" and apparently making a big appearance at an LA area Home Depot.

 

Radio personality April Winchell described him as "waxed and buffed to a high polish" with "freshly-shampooed chest-hair" and "nipples like silver dollar pancakes." She talked him into doing LEARN ITALIAN WITH FABIO, which are hilarious little spots for her radio show.

 

She also excerpted parts of his CD called FABIO AFTER DARK where he teaches how to bring romance into your love life in his heavy Italian accent (Fabio On Surprises: "I like nothing better than to supress my lady.")

Now the Silliest Excuse for a Celebrity is "Paris Hilton". But I get the impression her time is just about up! LOL :+

I seem to remember that Fabio had a freak accident at Paramount's Kings Dominion a few years ago. Something about riding a roller coaster and colliding with a Canadian goose. He (Fabio) had some minor abrasions but there was no word on what happened to the poor goose.

The accident was sooooo dramatic, making Fabio look like a total stud in a weird way, coming off a ride car with his stoic, unsmiling face marred by a bloody nose, caused by a collision with a goose. But hey, it got him publicity!

Fabio was discovered by his manager at age 16 walking down the street.

 

He is a very polite repsectful mannered nice guy unlike some on BBS boards!
