Very Scary... Yahoo Messenger ID's ME? HOW?

I met a guy via CL last night. I'm travelling so this cannot be anyone I know. Plus I'm using a new yahoo id.

 

We decide to chat on messenger before meeting. He sends me his cam so I can take a look at the goods. Nothing out of the ordinary I did not accept file sharing just the typical cam link.

 

First question he asks me is, "who is john doe?" I'm like that is me how do you know this? He said when I type to him on messenger he see's my name?????????? I don't even use my full real name to sign up for the email account.

 

HOW HOW HOW can this guy pick out my complete name, anyone?
