Not in Hong Kong since 1991.

They have their own set of laws in Hong Kong, and a huge amount of constitutional protection.

China agreed to it as part of the handover from the British empire.

Also prostitution is fully legal in Hong Kong.

(Pimping is not)

He should be very careful when he gets to Singapore, though. Laws there are not friendly for us.

Actually since 1997, homosexuality is legal in mainland China too according to Wikipedia. So it seems we are 20 years behind in terms of information:

From Wikipedia: “Adult, consensual and non-commercial homosexuality has been legal in China since 1997”

Prostitution in Mainland China is illegal though.

1. Organizaed prostitution is always illegal in HK;

2. In mainland China, all prostitution is illegal, but you can get anything you want if having enough money and right networks.

3. Compared to HK, mainland China has much more culture pressure to gays;

4. Your comment to Singapore is right, but there are dozens (or more) of Chinese male escorts holding tourist visa to make money in this city.

I wouldn't worry about Tomas in Singapore.....apart from being hotter than hell, he's very worldly & savvy......(& v v familiar with Singapore....not with me, but he was with a client at Raffles once the same week when I was there.....Tomas appeared to be arranging / coordinating some of the "external" activities for the 2 of them).
