Finding Neverland

I just finished viewing “Finding Neverland” with Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet. I can’t begin to express how disappointing this film was. Throughout the film, it felt as though director Marc Foster had a stranglehold on his cast of actors. It was almost like they were afraid to express any emotion or reaction outside of the tightly written script. How disappointing this was, as both Depp and Winslet, when allowed to play their roles with passion and freedom to express their characters openly, are outstanding actors to be entertained by and enjoy. I don’t know who Marc Foster is, but this film could have been so much better if he would have just thrown out the script and let the actors act. Two big thumbs down from me. Anyone else disappointed in this film?
