The Season Is Upon Us.

Ahhhh, it is that time again. Time for our biennial MC Meltdown. The moon is full, the estrus cycle high -- all of the bitches in heat which couldn’t be more obvious -- and the other critters getting their panties in a bunch, all skittish and spooked by the goings on. So what is new? Same old…same old… for the old hands that is. Some feel offended, others downright persecuted, rightly or wrongly. Lots of bitching and moaning and pissing in the camp fire. Some want to leave. I can appreciate that, if they are no longer comfortable here. I bid you fond farewell and good fortune, you will be missed. Others should have been shown the door before now – it is not too late IMO. I also bid you fond farewell. Another message center site has sprung up. Good. I think alternatives are always nice – for those who want to leave and for those who have to leave.

 

I guess this bears repeating every two years. The management is the management. They run the place as they see fit. They desire a certain content and ambience. It is their show. If we citizens don’t like it we are free to emmigrate.

 

Also, the management needs to act like management, not one of the gang. They should resist getting down in the gutter with those that wish to wallow there. The lesson about arguing with antagonists is clear. This leads to over-reaction which has been observed.

 

If anyone on either side cannot live with reason within their respective roles then they ought to vacate that role or be vacated. It is really quite simple: we should respect ourselves and respect others. All else will quite naturally follow from that. If we can’t or won’t do that then we should take a hike or be shown the gate. For those on the sidelines, go where you feel comfortable and are entertained.
