Considering that you asked about the locals, there is the Black and White Bar in Madrid to consider.

 

I used to visit this place fairly often. Sometimes the place was fun but other times the place was dull. It is (was) not possible to predict which nights would be a busy and fun night or which night would result in a dull night. As the saying does, it just takes one for a successful evening.

 

I have not been to the bar this year. I have heard that the bar is no longer in existence. I suppose it is possible that the bar no longer exists. The bar has been there for more than thirty years and is the chief hustler bar in Madrid.

 

The bar does not get busy until midnight or later. That is a turn off to many who don't stay out late.

 

The bar is in a safe part of Madrid (Chueca).
