Remembering my friend Steve Ramsey who was killed in Vietnam in early 1967. He married his long-time girl friend just before leaving the United States. I was living in State College, PA, but the wedding was near New York City.

 

Because I could not attend the wedding, I frequently visit the Vietnam Memorial in Washington to remember him. My first visit was Christmas in 1983. Steve's family left notes to him very near his name on the Memorial.

 

We were friends despite totally different views on the war in Vietnam.
