Blocking Individual Conversations - Possible?

I tried to do a search using many variations on my theme but could not find an answer so I will pose the question directly to the techno wizards here.

 

Is there a way to block incoming conversations from individual members? I have "ignored" the particular member but messages keep coming through.

 

Have I done something incorrectly?

Go to your profile page

click on privacy

scroll down to edit your contact details

see start conversation with you (click the box)

click on people you follow only*

scroll down to save changes and click the box.

*Only members you are following will be able to PM you. All others will be turned away. If you want to add someone to your "follow" list, they will automatically be able to PM you, so there is a great deal of flexibility, and you can "unfollow" at any time.

...or you could let that anonymous person continue to bother you so we can publicly gang up on him or her for our entertainment;)

much as i would like to share the name of the person, my more prudent sense tells me to keep it to myself (for now....)

 

but if you have been following some of the discussions NOT on the politics forum, you may be able to figure it out!
