I know it's probably redundant, but isn't this series one of the greats? I don't regularly watch it, so I'm almost always catching an episode that I've never seen. It never fails to make me laugh and there always seems to be one classic line in every episode like tonight when Mr Burns tells Homer that "there's nothing like a good sit!"

Anyone care to throw in some of their favorite lines or episodes???

Oh my, so many great moments! Sadly, none I can quote from memory right off the top of my head. One of the more appealing facets of this show is how the characters have developed over time. Some of the satire is very, very subtle, which I like very much. (Who aside from me knows that Rev. Lovejoy is a very close mimic of Ernest Angley, an early TV preacher?) I love how they regularly make fun of Fox, their own network.

Classic television. The genius just never quite seems to fade.

'There goes the last remaining shred of my hetrosexuality'

I LOVE the Simpsons. What's incredible is that the show keeps getting better as the seasons progress.

Another one of my favorite lines: 'Are you saying BOO or BOOOurns?'

HA! Classic...

Any Family Guy fans out there? :)

Simpsons junkie here.

Season 5, Episode "Homer and Apu"

Apu breaks out in song, "Who needs the Quik-E-Mart?" cheerfully in front of the Simpsons, then later, by himself, he sobs, "Who needs the Quik-E-Mart? I do".

Absolutely yes, I think it's one of the most funniest shows to hit the tv monitors in the last few years or so. I'm glad the Fox Network gave this show a second look, thanks in large part to Gail Berman. It's well written, the story lines are always constantly dysfunctional, but the characters are a sheer delight. Especially the character of Stuart. A child with the mindset of a pompous devious university professor. The show just can't go wrong.

Ironically I work with a guy whose head is the shape and size of the character of Stuart. I don't think there is ever a week that goes by, when my co-worker is not prodded over with jokes about his head. For the most he's good natured about it.

As for the Family Guy, even if the Fox Network end the show without achieving pinnacle success. At the very best, it'll live in DVD for years to come. Just like the ABC mid-90's show " My So Called Life ". A new generation of youngsters, older kids and adults will discover the Family Guy and ask why aren't they making new episodes. The Network will eventually realise the show is relatively inexpensive to make and they'll miss on a good opportunity to nurture a fun loving show. The ABC network had to learn the hard way and Fox will be no different. That's it really.

Let's change the subject to favorite musicals. Mine is Oh Streetcar! the musical version of A Streetcar Named Desire starring Marge as Blanche and Ned Flanders as Stanley. The 11 o'clock number is A Stranger Is Just A Friend You Haven't Met!

Among my many favorites lines, I always get a kick out of the epidose where the citizens of Springfield re-enact a Civil War battle. Homer, in uniform, says to Marge: "Don't go Mary Todd on me."

Of course, there's also the John Waters episode: "I like my homosexuals flaaaaming."

Musical favorite is the Sherry Bobbins (Mary Poppins) episode as well as the Burns' musical number "See My Vest" ("Be Our Guest") in which he sings of how he desires a suit made from puppy fur.

They love to skewer Disney. I especially loved the moment when Homer sneaks into "Epcot" and buys a Churro for $12.95 :7
