Howdy,

My partner attended several different screenings at the Cleveland Film Festival. He's been raving about Germany's "Napola" (a military school that trains Hitler youth in 1942) and especially "the most handsome cast I've ever seen" Saw some photos online and must say the blond guy who play Fredrich is pretty amazing. He has that Billy Brandt thing going on(only much cuter<g>) He says the dark haired Siegfried and Albrecht are mighty nice too. I got to get this DVD when it comes out even though subtitles aren't my bag.

He says the movies has nice butt shots and some homoerotic moments. And the Fredrich character just lights up the screen.(I'd do him from what I've seen)

Sorry, I'd post photos if I knew how the hell to do it lol

Thanks,

John

This film is getting very good reviews.

The stunning beauty is Max Riemelt.

The official website has many photos, a beautiful soundtrack and trailer, and even wallpaper for computer desktops. Most of the text is in German, which fortunately I can read. I'm hoping it may be playing somewhere in the area.

I can read German as well. Which is ok. Reading hot sexy bodies, smooth and with a touch of sweat, is much better. Thankfully, I'm better at the latter, rather than the former.

Definitely Blond-Blue..A combination you can't beat..They Mature so well too. Most of the Blond-Blue 8x.. guys in NYC.. even if they are around 35 <no names> still Sexy as Hell! IMHO German Sub-titles, I believe are a little easier to keep up with then say Italian S/T which move very fast! But German is not a Romance Language, so not so great to listen to, like Spanish or Italian.. :+ :+ :+

Same here, HotDad.......my German reading skills don't get used very often, so they tend to be a bit rusty.....but not my appreciation of the sexy human form.

If you hear of any places where this film is playing in NYC, let me know. So far, I've found nothing from NYC to Philly.

Thanks for the link. Interesting film from a lot of perspectives. I'd be very interested in getting it on DVD (hope someone will let me know when that happens).

Reminds me a bit of another German movie -- "The Bridge" ("Die Brucke") made in 1959 -- nominated for an academy award for best foreign language film. Luckily for those like me who don't speak German, it fairly recently came out on video in an English language version. Lots of cute guys in it, but what they go through is heart breaking. First saw it on TV over 30 years ago when I was in high school (maybe earlier), and it made a lasting impression. (If you're interested in it, it's available on VHS -- not sure about DVD -- from Belle & Blade Distributors in Dover, NJ.)

German Fan club

Hey guys,

My other half found this:

http://www.max-riemelt.de

It's the blond guy's fan club website. He says he's filled out much more in Napola so I guess these are older photos.

NOTE TO DICK HO: Happiness director Todd Solondz is the guest of honor Sat. night at the Cleveland Film Festival. They are showing his new film. His older stuff like Happiness, Welcome to the Dollhouse, etc. was featured during the week.

I would have LOVED to have met him or listened to him speak--his films are weird but cool!!

Have a great weekend guys,

John
