I just read with shock and sadness about HooBoy's passing last night. My deepest and profound sympathies go out to his family and friends.

My prayers tonight will include yet another person taken too quickly from us.

Words fail to express how sad feel, hearing this awful news. We never met, yet I felt he was like an older and much wiser brother. My sincere condolences to his legion of friends and his family. Rest in peace, dear Hooboy.

I'm in shock. He touched so many people's lives in ways that he probably never really knew. I know he touched mine, just by starting M4M. Like the others, I feel like I've lost a friend that I never met.

My condolences to his family and friends and to all of you out in Hooville.

I too find the news very sad. This site is a great resource and as the vision behind it HooBoy was a real pioneer.

If there is any information on where donations and memorial tributes might be sent - I'm hoping we will be kept informed.

Finally, I read the news of his stroke a while back - other than that had he been sick? Was his passing unexpected?

Sympathies to his family and friends.

Sad news indeed. A unusual man of a shy nature and good character with human flaws. I had the pleasure to meet him face-to-face twice. My first person-to-person encounter with him was via phone call to discuss some details regarding his 'sponsor an escort' program. That call lasted four hours. He loved talking on the phone as I found out that day.

He made an impact on my personal life and I suspect on the lives of hundreds, maybe thousands, of others. He will be sorely missed.

My sympathy to his family and friends.

Thanks Hoo Boy for making a difference.

Such sad and shocking news! As so many have said, HooBoy was an important figure in our lives and truly a pioneer in the creation of this wonderful website.

It would be a fine tribute to him if his colleagues would post on the site a complete obituary. Like so many, I never met HooBoy and I have no idea what he was like as a person but as the guiding spirit of this site, he was a remarkable individual. Let us hope that this site will continue as a monument to him!

My deepest sympathies to those who really knew him. All of us members of the site are in his debt.

It is not only sad but unbelieveable. What happened to our Hooboy? I only hope he did not suffer.

I never met him but we naturally corresponded on many occassions. The very existance of this site made me feel not alone and I will eternally be thankful for this. Thanks to Hooboy I have met many of you and of course had much fun.

We will never forget our Hooboy!

I never met HooBoy, I'd only exchanged some emails

with him--but he made a great impression on me.

He gracefully dealt with many of the more difficult

postings that appeared here from time to time.

He took a risk running this site in the puritanical USA.

He took the time to bring us new reviews every

morning, even when he was on the road.

HooBoy, I miss you.

My deepest condolences to HooBoy's family and friends.

He built this wonderful community of gay men, he helped all of

us to find "good looking, high quality sex experts" and he taught,

by example, that life was for living.

Today is a day for sadness and my thoughts and prayers are with

his family and friends.

Our thanks and prayers go out to Hooboy, someone many of us didn't know but who was important in his very own special way. My sincere condolences and sympathies to his family and friends who are left behind.

CASH, you have expressed this very nicely. As I said in my posting above he let me connect to so many others who were interested in the same things I am. I used to feel alone as if I was the only one interested in escorts. He gave me more self dignity and confidence over these secret habits and desires. I was not alone! And through him, I have met so many wonderful people. Thank you Hooboy, Long Live Your Memory.

I have lost a dear friend whom I never had the opportunity to meet in person.

This website - hooboy's website - has had profound positive effects on me - not just with respect to escorts, but even more important as a gay man.

His impact on the gay community should be remembered as we remember other courageous gays.

I'm sure that if hooboy had been around 50 years ago when I was discovering my sexual orientation and the homophobia of this nation, hooboy would have been working to make my life much easier!

RIP, My Friend!

One man's impact

Many other posting here have said things better than I will be able, but I needed to express my sadness and condolences to his family and friends, to express my gratitude to him for this site and the impact it had on me.

Most know that through this site exclusively, my life has been opened up to so many new friends and possibilities. My life is changed completely. For me it was never about the escorts, although that is of course how I found this place. No, as others have said (and better) it was about contact with other like minded men.

In many ways, Hooboy introduced me to most of my closest friends, not only by providing this site, but more specifically, by giving me a place to find my true identity and learn not only to be comfortable with it, but to celebrate it.

I have lost the greatest friend I never met.

Thanks for everything Hooboy.

Rest in Peace Dear Hoo

I like many others have only spoken to Hoo via e-mail.

Unfortunately when I was in Thailand our schedules did work to meet up for a drink, he was kind enough to send an email and say hello and thank you sorry we did not meet.
