I'm a little startled that the family of this guy thinks the garage should do more to prevent these incidents. Frankly, can't the family keep the kid in at night? If this is as bright as the kid is, maybe he needs to die before reproducing and clean up the gene pool.

This is absolutely unbelievable. I guess the amusement sites (Disney, etc.) are either too boring or too expensive.

The fact that the parents aren't blaming their kids or admitting their own culpability in their kids' behavior and are instead suing the city and the garage is not surprising.

Only in America....blame Twinkies, blame McDonalds, etc.

Thankfully, 97 - 3% of those polled blame the kids, not the garage.

Kids jump off cliffs into water from hundreds of feet (spalt, smack), so really how different is this?

But the fact that one of these kids didn't make it and now an attorney is suing is even more absurd than what the kids are doing. The judge should make the kid's attorney do a little structure jumping.

This follows along with that idiotic woman who sued (and won) because she bought hot coffee from them and they didn't tell her it was hot.

At what point do we finally make these people take responsibility for what they do.

BTW did you see where the teachers in Berkeley refuse to grade the papers because it would make them work more hours than their contracts call for? They are apparently working without a new contract for 2 years and this is how they choose to force the contract negotiations. Wonder if they are going to make up the time after the contract is signed?

>Possibly we can have a debate - kid or family responsibility

Either way - it sure isn't the responsibility of the City of Orlando.

Perhaps they should counter-sue the kid for their expense in mopping up the blood. That would make more sense to me.

Next time I go to Orlando, I'm gonna try it.
