In my opinion it is a leather shop on Christopher Street in the Village. If you get off the Subway at the Christopher St. stop and walk toward the river, it is about two blocks down on your right-hand side. Maybe a native New Yorker will come up with the name and address. It is a shop not to be missed. There is a basement area that you must visit as well. It is connected by a tiny circular staircase that might be missed by a first-time visitor. Many of the items in the store are hand-crafted right there in the shop.

Thanks C.O.E., I want to make sure I went to one that is gay owned. Though I'm not into leather, I'm sure they will have what I'm shopping for.

Sadly.. not to many are Gay Owned or even Gay managed for that matter! Quite a few now are Indian run. Depending what you are in the market for, PRICES VARY GREATLY! Christopher St in the West Village, has the largest assortment of stores in one area. Prices Vary. Happy Shopping! :+ :+ :+

Thanx for posting the link. I visited a store SOMA (SF) long time ago that did custom work as well. Gay owned & very freindly.

 

I guess I'm looking for something more "vanilla" which seems I'll find on Christoper Street. }(
