Thanks guys, didn't know about this police sting. I'm so happy to hear that violent crime in LI must now be so inconsequential that police resources and $$$ can be spent eradicating such a heinous crime...

The "sting" dealt with female prostitutes and was such an embarrassment to the District Attorney's Office that the cases were ultimately flushed down the judicial system and even those defendants who plead guilty were allowed to get a reduction. The DA got a lot of bad publicity on the waste of resources, although she did successfully run for Congress. Let's hope her successor concentrates on more serious trim, like the ever rising drug trade and gang warfare in Nassau County.

In a greedy, personal level, that's what bothers me the most. The sting wasn't targeting the male/gay side of the business at all, and yet the the effects were greater on that end. The male escort market in Long Island was small to begin with, but the sting killed it all off. I don't blame anyone for being protective, but you'd think things would have returned by now.

So do you think if I located a decent escort in Queens, and told him that I could only host in Nassau, he'd shy away? Fuck, how can I prove I'm not a LEO?

There are a few guys that put ads on Craigslist but be wary. Also If you have Grindr on your phone and word your profile carefully and put Hotel in headline you may be approached by guys looking for generous guys. I don't put hotel in my headline but get approached quite often though the guys that do approach are not that appealing to me.
