"New Pics" Loading Very S L O W L Y ??

Well, I posted this in Daddy's Place on 1/27 and no one has replied which means either (a) no one cares, or (b) no one reads posts in that forum. x(

 

What's the reason the "new pic" exercise is resulting in MUCH slower load times than before? It seems every "new pic" an escort furnishes as a result of the recent site updating takes MUCH longer to load than other pics. Fortunately I have broadband so it's not really an irritant (but I do notice it); I pity those on dial-up. Any comments? :*

Seems to me that this depends on which pics you are talking about. Pics in reviews reside on the review server, thus it MIGHT be due to heavy demand on the server or software issues or on your end or your ISP.

 

If you are talking about pics in the MC, those load independently of Hooboy's servers and indicate issues with the pic's resident server, your computer or your ISP.

 

There is also the chance that the internet backbone is just generally sludged up with endless spam, porn, viruses, worms and trojan horses - a cesspool of decadence and decay. Everyone would notice that though.

I've noticed the same thing. Pics in the review section are notably slower. Everything else is fine.

It's the pics in the Reviews Section, more specifically, those that are new submissions all seem to load slower than other pics in Reviews. I noticed this a while ago when the spate of new pics began to appear. There has to be some reason.

I've also noticted that new pics seem to be loading more slowly, sometimes noticeably more slowly. They don't seem to be coming across as bitmaps, just loading more slowly. This has been true with both Firefox and IE, before and after clearing the cache.

 

It does seem to have improved in the last couple of days, though.

BG, not to belabor this, but if you check, for the past 7 days there have been hardly any "new pics" like the flurry of them over the holidays and before. I'm sure there's a correlation between the slow loading and all those new pics submitted as a result of the site updating/inviting new pics. I'm just curious what caused it/will cause it. :*
