Spamalot

Just as "The Producers" did, Spamalot is doing an early run in Chicago before it opens on Broadway. I saw the matinee this afternoon and it was non-stop laughs. Of course, it was silly. Those who are really into Andrew Lloyd Weber may not care for it (although it does go into some ALW parody that's hilarious).

 

It stars Tim Curry, David Hyde Pierce, Hank Azaria and Sara Ramirez. Sara really stood out. Without giving away any story lines, Hank Azaria was wonderful and looking pretty hot (who knew he could dance and sing? For that matter who knew DHP could either?)

 

OK it's not terribly original, but there's not a lot on Broadway that is. I left feeling happy and great. I really needed a good laugh considering the blizzard that's affecting so much of the country this weekend. :7

Thanks for the review. Have every intention of seeing it.

 

Curry is great. Pierce is awesome. Seeing one or both of them dance and sing is a cool treat.

 

Pierce did a host role on Saturday Night Live, in which he danced and sang, and it was memorable, to say the least.

 

Can't wait to see this new production.
