When you seized the day...

I like hearing stories like Swiss Lumber's about hooking up on the fly with a carhop in Vegas, where somebody had a "window of opportunity" and used it. Anybody else got one?

 

Here's mine:

 

I was volunteering at an LGBT center (something I hope everyone does sometime!) when a fireman from the local brigade came in and said he had to do an inspection. He was in his late twenties and well, like all firemen, was quite fit and fucking adorable. I did not want to let him pass without my making SOME kind of move.

 

I was working nearby in one of the rooms he was inspecting and said, "Excuse me, since you work for the fire department, maybe you could tell me something."

 

"Sure," he replied.

 

"Is there some kind of an ordinance or something that says that all firemen have to be cute?" I asked.

 

He smiled and chuckled a little and thanked me. A few moments later he leaned back toward me and said, "It's probably the uniform."

 

[if I'd REALLY been on my toes, I would have replied, "Well, that might be true. Of course the only way for me to know is for me to see you OUT of your uniform." All in all, though, I was pleased that I'd made the effort to flirt with him at least a little.]

I still could not get my hand on that hunky postman who delivers my mail every Saturday. Last summer, I offered him a lemonade and we have one short conversation. Next time, I'll offer him a banana in the hope that its a longer one.

If I had been on my toes I would have replied to his "its probably the uniform" by saying "Well, that might be true. Of course the only way for me to know for SURE is for me to see you OUT of your uniform!" But I was glad I did as much as I did.

 

Does anybody else have a cool and/or sexy story to add?
