I posed this as a question awhile back. Why do we like low hangers in young guys, but they are topics for jokes in older guys?

I would venture to say that it is not the low hangers themselves, but the association with age. Just like everything else in most men, with age, skin begins to sag (MMV). If your balls are hanging preternaturally, you should ask your doc. I found this article on Esquire online. Worth the short read!

I was going to make the analogy to perky but large youthful natural breasts versus sagging breasts, but you (sorta) beat me to it.

 

Breasts are attached a lot higher up than testicles, though, so the righthand drawing is considerably more exaggerated than the lefthand one. The exposure short shorts give to women's butt cheeks might be a better analogy.

From personal experience, I know that the saggy boobs would have to be of monstrous proportions to begin with for them to ever dangle low enough to be mistaken for balls.

I really should not give Mr. Smith a tough time about his detailed knowledge about organs and organ music (not euphemisms) given that I can name everyone in the above GIF. Although in a few cases I'd have to look up their real names as opposed to their stage names.
