I'm at a party and 2 of us are discussing a mutual acquaintance while others, mostly gay men, listen in. We're both wondering if the guy in question isn't MAYBE gay because of a few things the guy has done.

 

At one point, the other person chimes in with "Well, his wife IS ASIAN!" The rest of the men make this rising "Oooooooh!" in chorus, as if in recognition of some confirming fact.

 

I didn't get it and I don't get it still. What's the connection between having an Asian wife and possibly being gay?
