This year's AIDS Life Cycle Ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles began on Sunday the 5th of June and will go through Saturday, the 11th. Right now hundreds of riders are passing by my townhouse here on the Monterey Peninsula before going to their designated rest stop and onward to Salinas, CA for lunch and more rest before journeying southward. For a few years now, I have donated to some of the riders as well as joining my good friend, a stellar roadie ,who has helped serve lunch each day to the riders and others.

I extend a "good ride" to all of the riders as well as a thunderous applause! When will there be a cure?

Thanks for this post, I just sent a text to one of my dear friends/clients that is on the ride. This is my second year off from the ride, after doing it 6 years in a row. I'm gonna try and decide by the end of this ride if I am ready to commit to getting back on it next year. It's a most incredible experience! 3 years ago my mom came out from VA to be a roadie and serve breakfast & dinner. She said it was one of the hardest but most rewarding and emotional weeks of her life.

Lance,

You are quite welcome. And I appreciate your taking the time to post in relation to the ALC! I'd wanted to be a roadie two years ago, but since I could not serve with

my friend who had been a popular roadie for a few years, I decided NOT to participate in that manner but to donate to a few riders whom I know! From our local newscast last evening, the riders and donors raised quite a few millions this year to support the SFAIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBTQ Center in Los Angeles! Bravo, folks!

And Bravo to you Axiom. Your efforts and contributions are amazing, and I'm jealous...The Monterey Peninsula is probably one of the most stunning places on the planet. Cheers...
