This Ice Cream Can Cure Your Hangover — but There's a Catch

 

South Korean convenience store chain Withme FS has launched Gyeondyo-bar (pictured above), an ice cream bar specifically meant to cure hangover symptoms, Reuters reports. The name translates to "hang in there."

 

The bar, which started selling in stores Friday, is grapefruit-flavored and contains 0.7 percent oriental raisin tree fruit juice, which has been used in Asian hangover remedies in the past as it supposedly helps the liver process alcohol and can help detoxify the body in general.

A press release from the company claims the ice cream is the first specifically produced to cure hangovers and "expresses the hardships of employees who have to suffer a working day after heavy drinking, as well as to provide comfort to those who have to come to work early after frequent nights of drinking."
