Has anyone seen this movie? I saw it the other day over a friends house, he bought the uncensored dvd off ebay. It is by Larry Clark the guy who did Kids and bully and other movies. It is a movie about young skaters in Vasalia CA. It was quite disturbing yet Intruiging (okay I know that isn't the spelling need spell check) just wondering if anyone seen it and thier thoughts. It was almost like a guilty pleasure, cause I liked parts of the movie and felt strange watching other parts. There is quite graphic sexual content but it really isn't erotic, how does someone get away with this with child porn laws though?? I have not seen bully but my friend says I have to see it!

Ken Park was originally scheduled to be filmed straight after the success of K.I.D.S. It was to be the "west coast" version of K.I.D.S. Because of the content and lack of financial backers it was placed on hold for a long time.

Larry went on to do several other films such as Bully (which is OK at best), Gumbo (very trippy) and one of my personal favorite films Another Day in Paradise.

I feel he is an amzaing director who captures youth the way they are not the way Hollywood wants to portray them.

Except for a few clips on the Internet I have not seen Ken Park. I'm trying to find an uncensored version and your post has now pointed me to Ebay.

There is also a film called Larry Clark Greatest American Rebel. It features Gus Van Zant and John Waters to name a few. I would love to find this on DVD.

I saw this movie last year. A friend of mine received the DVD from a Czech bootleg or something. I don't really remember much about it other than lots of penises and the fact that purely by having it in my apartment I could have gone to jail for child pornography.

It's nothing special so no need to go crazy in the meantime.

If my memory is correct Larry Clark at one point in his career was under investigation for child porn. I might be wrong maybe someone here knows for certain.

But the investigation had nothing to do with any of his films. It involved one of his photography books: Tulsa (1971), Teenage Lust (1982), and Perfect Childhood (1992.

He has been able to accomplish what Gus Van Zant and Gregg Araki

were unable to do. Portray real teen life on the big screen. I really enjoy all of his work and look forward to his upcoming projects.
