LAS VEGAS – The man known to millions of cable TV viewers as Chumlee on the reality show “Pawn Stars” was being held late Wednesday in a Las Vegas jail following his arrest on felony weapon and drug charges.

 

Austin Lee Russell, 33, was taken into custody when officers serving a search warrant in a sexual assault investigation found methamphetamine, marijuana and at least one gun at his southwest Las Vegas home, police said in a statement.

 

Russell wasn’t booked on a sex-crime allegation. Officer Larry Hadfield, a department spokesman, said that part of the investigation stemmed from a recent complaint by a woman, and it is continuing

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Police seized a small arsenal of guns, a gallon plastic bag containing marijuana, multiple doses of anxiety medication and a small amount of methamphetamine at the home of the "Pawn Stars" character "Chumlee," according to an arrest report made public Tuesday.

 

Attorneys for Austin Lee Russell declined to comment on the report, saying they'll do their talking about the case in a courtroom, not the media.

 

"We will be analyzing what was allegedly found and whether the alleged seizure was lawful," attorneys David Chesnoff and Richard Schonfeld said in an email statement. They said they looked forward to a just resolution of the case
