Hello all. Any suggestions on where

to stay if visiting Rehoboth Beach

Delaware. Be my first time there.

Guess it really depends on your budget and what sorts of amenities you like. I stayed at the Avenue Inn a couple of years ago and liked it very much. Excellent location and nice little hotel but a bit expensive. The have an indoor pool and also a spa on the premises.

 

There are many, many guesthouses that vary in quality. A friend of mine likes the Corner Cupboard Inn B&B.

 

The big chains are all located out on Rt. 1 near the outlets. Which is good for shopping but bad if you want to spend time at the beach or in town. Parking can be expensive and hard to come by in the town.

Is the Renegade still in operation?

The Renegade was razed in May 2003 to make room for a new condo development. However, a new bar, A.M. opened nearby a few weeks later.

AM lasted less than a season. Never really had a liquor license. Not much in the way of "clubs" any more. Still a few bars here and there.

 

PS: It just started raining -- again -- in Lower DE.
