omg yay! I used to watch these as reruns as a young kid, I loved this show I would stay up late when I should have been sleeping to watch them

While I'm not always the biggest fan of British humor, this show would have me howling with laughter (often as I'd be trying to fall asleep, since it usually was on late at night). I agree that a remake will have difficultly capturing the chemistry that the original show's actors all possessed.

When I think of classics ruined by a remake - I recall the remake of "Whatever Happened to BabyJane" Even with both Redgrave sisters there was no saving this dreadful, dreary, doppelgonger!

Love(d) the show and all the characters from Captain Peacock, Mrs. Slocombe, and all the others. I seem to recall one episode where they all went to a retirement home run by the store---it wasn't as good as the earlier episodes. Doubt if a re-make will cut it.
