Stripper, hotel charged over nudity

THE licensee of a West Australian hotel has been fined $800 after an enthusiastic male stripper revealed too much flesh.

 

Waccae Pty Ltd, the licensee of the Grand Hotel in the mining centre of Kalgoorlie, was charged with contravening a condition of its hotel licence by allowing a member of the male review Hardbodies to dance naked during parts of a routine on July 16.

 

Constable Will Withers, of the police Goldfields Esperance Alcohol and Drug Advisory Unit, said the hotel licence had a special condition allowing a minimum dress standard of a G-string in certain areas.

 

Police allege 28-year-old stripper Tyson Smith, of the Perth suburb of Bayswater, breached that condition by removing his underwear.

 

They said the hotel was in breach of its licence by allowing that performance.
