411 on Washington DC strip clubs

Would appreciate any comments from board posters

on Washington DC area strip clubs. What clubs

are the best? How much can the customer get away

with? Are lap dances available? Do any of the dancers

do any escorting on the side? If so, does anyone

have a preference from among them?

Sadly, the news on the DC strip club front is not encouraging.

 

The only two (gay) strip clubs that are still in business are Wet and Secrets--both of which are described in more detail on the Strip Club FAQ page.

 

Even after Secret's recent renovation, the quality of both clubs, in my opinion, continues to decline.

 

Secret's is still my favorite of the two clubs, and you can occasionally get away with a friendly grope or two, but now that I've been to Montreal, Secret's is looking rather pathetic in comparison. Many of the dancers at Secret's offer off-site privates, though I've never taken advantage of the offer, so I won't comment on that.

 

Lap dances are not available at either club.

 

Nevertheless, if you're coming for a visit from out of town, then it's probably worth your while to visit both clubs. They are only a few blocks apart and close to the Navy Yard Metro and only a $7 cab fare from NW DC.

You should also be very mindful of your surroundings while you are going in/coming out of the two strip clubs mentioned (Wet and Secrets). They are both in what is still considered to be a pretty scary area of DC - especially at night. So, just keep an eye out for trouble.
