Portugese Transsexual set to win Big Brother UK

Unlike Big Brother in the USA, the evictions are decided in the UK version by public vote. These are either by phone-in, SMS text message or interactive TV voting.

 

The final is Friday night and the last four in the house are a posh (if rather foul mouthed at times) girl who has mown the garden lawn naked; a Scottish bodybuilder who spends about 2 hours each night working out and preparing for bed, including applying fake tan; a gay hairdresser who has appeared in gay porn movies and Nadia, a transsexual who is originally from Maderia, Portugal.

 

The favorite in the betting is the Portugese transexual who has been really moving about wanting acceptance of her new sexuality as the reason for going into the House. She has not officially "come out" to the rest but someone has shouted "Nadia is a man" over the wall.

I have to say I absolutely agree with you Londonbear on this topic. One of my best friends from Surrey tapes the version that you and the rest of Britain get to watch and sends it to me by parcel in the US. I've seen both the UK version of the programme and it's counterpart in the USA. I have to say they are poles apart. I dont know if you've seen the US version, Londonbear. If you haven't then you're not missing anything. The US version is very bland and at times absolute rubbish. I personally like the Brit version, it's more character driven and it's quite funny.

 

I have to say I agree with you and the bookies that Nadia will walk away the winner. When I talk to my friends back in Britain, they tell me the same thing. Lets hope for the best outcome for Nadia.

The results are in. The gay hairdresser came 3rd, the bodybuilder second and the winner was the Porugese transsexual, Nadia with over 70% of the public vote.

 

The UK version had an "Evil" theme this year. It included two housemates with the most public votes being "evicted" for part of a week to a dingy "bedsittingroom" where they had a live feed from the house. They could punish other individuals with things like cold showers or their bed being trashed with eggs and water. They also got to choose the costumes for a fancy dress party they re-appeared at.

 

One of the guys was stalked by one of the girls "evicted" (they now have a joint publicity contract for interviews in a magazine). He is 20 and very cute. He has a tendency to adopt superhero personas and he kept hold of his cowboy costume until forced to give it back. They put a cowboy hat on the shopping list and it turned out to be a giant pink and white stetson (he actually looked very sexy in it) They gave him the chance to exchange it and he got a tiny version one inch on an elastic headband. When the housemates rebelled by not talking for a day, they punished him by showing his hat being burned on a plasma screen.

 

One of his other personas was "Tiagra" a sort of combination of Tarzan and Catman. He went into the diary room in this character wearing a leopardskin print as a sarong which led to one of the funniest lines "Big Brother does not consider purring and clawing the chair in the diary room appropriate behaviour".
