I disagree. Why is that necessary? This is 2016. Let him live his life. He's not lied about it. He's quite open about it. I don't think people should have to go on Ellen take out a billboard anymore. It's long past time for that. Let people -- all people -- just live their lives. Matt Bomer set the example. Colton is just following it.

I'm not sure if he is or isn't. Doesn't he have a brother that is gay? I have a friend who is straight, who has a gay brother, and he's very open and accepting of gay people and the lifestyle, yet he isn't gay. With that said, I hope he is gay What a beautiful man he is.

Well, I do think it makes a difference. If a gay man who is a public figure is not out, he really has to take efforts to stay in the closet. This sends a message to a lot of younger people who may be in the closet: being gay will limit your success and hurt your career. Successful, handsome, out men such as Matt Bomer, Zachary Quinto, and Matt Dallas serve as wonderful role models, especially for young people who may see only negative consequences to being gay. It's great to have positive role models that younger gay men can look up to. It may not mean much to someone my age, but to someone in high school or college who's down on himself? It's nice to have a gay man one can idolize. Here's Colton with his brother Joshua, Joshua's husband, and daughter:
