Some of y'all may remember a scammer reported my phone number to this site. Originally it only had my number. Then somehow they found my name. I had been worried. But they never associated my name with a picture. Well I checked out the website from time to time. And it's now gone. A page in Russian seems to have replaced it.

I remember that very well...

 

About a week or two ago, I saw an obviously fake ad on Backpage. I texted the guy and told him the pictures were fakes. Well I just received a text from a number I didn't know saying that my phone number could be found at a site called Exposing Johns Dot Com http://exposingjohns.com/

 

Sure enough my number is there. Supposedly you can pay the site to do an investigation. And if they can't find you actually solicited, they will take your number off the web site. I'm pretty sure that part is a scam to get money and make it easier to find out your identity. So far the only thing on the website is my phone number and the text I sent - which said something to the effect of -' those pictures are fake'. I'm not quite sure what else to do. I may talk to a lawyer. My main concern is if I did get a job, and I needed to be licensed for something- this could lead to my other hires being found out which could get a state license jerked or not granted. I'm also thinking of changing my main phone number. And getting a cheap pay as you go phone to respond to anymore ads.

 

If anyone has any other ideas, I would appreciate hearing them.

The next time out of boredom you'd like to text/email an escort using fake pictures to warn him that we discovered him... just don't do it, the whole idea for this site is to expose escorts who advertise themselves using other guys pictures or who are violent, so we DON'T hire them... don't warn them or they'll change their screenname, cellphone and pics to keep scamming us.
