You know you just can't judge/discern anything these days by area code. Often, people get cell phone numbers where they went to school/grew up/etc. and just keep them for life and you can move all over the place. I got mine in a place I visited only once but I've never lived there. It ain't the 1970s anymore.

Googling the number works but there isn't a single thing you can discern from someone's cell phone area code. Other than that's where they probably purchased the phone.
